The X Factor, Sunday 8pm, ITV1
Posted by Rex Miles
Lucie Jones has been eliminated from The X Factor after competing in the bottom two against the controversial John & Edward.
Black Eyed Peas made a guest appearance with an acrobatic performance of ‘Meet Me Halfway’ as Fergie descended from the sky on a moon crescent and Will.i.am flew across the audience.
2006’s X Factor winner Leona Lewis turned multi-platinum also appeared with a beautiful rendition of new single ‘Happy’.
Appealing to the judges, Lucie performed ‘One Moment In Time’ while the twins sang ‘Rock DJ’.
The judges' vote was split, with Louis and Simon voting to save John & Edward, while Dannii and Cheryl voted to save Lucie.
In deadlock for the fourth time this series the final choice was made by the public’s original vote, giving Lucie the boot.

Twins rubbish,Simon a coward,i have lost all respect for him now.Perhaps Lucy may not getfar but she should have still been there. The twins are annoying little gits and need to be gone. Also thought Leona Lewis was rubbish, not a fan of hers.
Posted by: joyce | 14 November 2009 at 16:18
simon should be stopped the programme is now made cheap because of his silly vote lucie should of won that vote the boys cant sing simon even said so yet he passed the vote to the public knowing the boys would win what a coward you are simon i for one wont ever watch it again it used to be my highlight on a saturday evening now no more please people stop watching it that way we have won and simon hasnt
Posted by: tina | 14 November 2009 at 12:54
I don't know what simon was thinking john and edward are absolutely horrendous, they should not be there.
They look absolutely rediculous in my opinion they can't sing, they are all over the place.

COWELL THE COWARD - COWELL THE COWARD
The COWARD knew exactly what he was doing when he put the result to the public vote. He wants it all ways. He probably couldn't make much money out of the twins singing, but could probably make money out of 'kids entertainment' with them. How could he know that neither of the two acts could win???? It has been said all along that this is a singing competition and he should have had the guts to SAY who he was sending home and if he wanted to save the boys at least it would have come from his own BIG GOB. In my opinion there was no competition, if X Factor is a singing competition, Lucie was the better of the two.
If it was one of Simon's singer's, he would not have put it to the public vote, he would have said his singer's name FAST.
I for one won't be watching anymore, and those people that do should vote for the twins now so that none of Simon's contestants have a chance of winning.

ok yer so simon made a wrong decision bringin it down to public vote but in all fairness to him its the public keeping j&e in just because more people like them than anyother singer at the min doesnt meen people who dont like them have the right to complain and try get judges to chnge there mind an bring lucie back into it then theshow would be a fix simon is also great at his job and knows what hes doing there Are still plenty of people left in that have great potential to win the show i myself have been voteing for lucy from the start, yerimpissed off that she got knocked out when shes 100 times bettr thn twins but hey what can you do people are still gna vote thinkof all those family and freinds from their hometown maybe j&e hav massive fan base back home !!

I have always been a great supporter of Simon Cowell inasmuch as much of what he says is truthful and accurate if not always tactful.
However on Saturday he totally lost any respect I have for him.
I have said from day one that the voting is fixed and Saturday proved it. It was fairly obvious that the Producers and Simon had a discussion and lo and behold Simon witholds his vote letting the talentless twins go through.
I don't doubt however that millions of people will continue to vote this week putting yet more millions into the spineless wonders pocket.
I for one will never watch the X factor again, it has become nothing more than a joke and what a shame for a programme that was so great at the beginning.
The bickering between the judges has also become totally idiotic. Last weeks over the Movie category was ridiculous. The category was Movies not Movies That Louis Walsh Has Heard Of.
It isn't really even enjoyable television anymore so will watch BBC1 instead.
Posted by: at home | 11 November 2009 at 08:15
please please please do not vote for anyone this weekend coz i want john and edward out of xfactor
i will defenly not going to watch the show again if they get through this weekend
they are crap and cant sing
Posted by: sheryl | 11 November 2009 at 07:56
please please please ...EVERYONE ... DO NOT VOTE THIS WEEKEND. Then lets see what happens !!!!
BY NOT VOTING WE WILL BE VOTING SIMON COWELL OUT !!!!!
Posted by: DAVE | 10 November 2009 at 23:56
I read that Simon Cowell has said that in taking the decision to deadlock he "genuinely thought the twins would be voted out" but that is surely not the point. Many people have said that it was down to the public that Lucie went because of lack of votes compared to the twins and whilst that is true, the action of Simon Cowell makes a complete mockery of the judges. Each week we have had to endure him slating the twins and since we are to believe that he is the most critical because he understands the music industry and what act would/would not succeed commercially and be worthy of a record deal, why then did he not have the courage of his convictions and vote them off himself. It does all boil down to the risk of the show's exposure and publicity being affected without the twins (although god knows why) and thus his bank balance possibly being affected and any reason he gives now only makes it worse. He and the other judges need to be totally honest and fair but it seems to be more them than the acts this year unfortunately and without a doubt all about the money.
Posted by: jj | 10 November 2009 at 19:36
it was only because lucy was a threat to simon that he left it to deadlock that shes out, but i think the judges should stop thinking about themselves for a change and think about the contestants who actually have a chance of a better life. All there thinking about is themselves :S?
Posted by: emma(: | 10 November 2009 at 18:12
jedward are stupid!and dont all vote for them because think about all the others on the show! they wouldnt have a chance of winning and we would be the ones ruining their lives .not simon cowell
Posted by: anna | 10 November 2009 at 16:42
well as simon stressed before their performances, the decision was to be made on the quality of their last performance... i do believe Lucie held the most 'talent' for singing. john and edward may be more entertaining to watch but i thought it was a singing contest, you oculdnt listen to them on the radio because they are shocking singing wise
Posted by: sarah | 10 November 2009 at 16:25
i only hope this week its danyl or olly and the two muppets in the bottom two then lets see if it goes to deadlock I DONT THINK SO
Posted by: tony | 10 November 2009 at 13:32
I hope everyone remembers this and doesn't allow another series of x-factor to even start The men judges are a disgrace who will ever trust Simom Cowel again They have lost yet more veiwing public after all we will put it to the public vote
Posted by: helen | 10 November 2009 at 11:13
TWINS TO WIN!! they the only decent act in this year
Posted by: kaznewcastle | 10 November 2009 at 10:59

Posted by: karl | 10 November 2009 at 10:47
Well lets see what OFCOM when they look into it have to say apparantly they have received a few thousand formal complaints about saturdays farce,I agree simon should not be a judge as he produces the show give the job to someone who sees the acts as they really are not dollar tinted glasses..mm maybe the winner from the previous contest should be privelidged to judge after all they have first hand experience of what the contestants have to endure. Simon and Louis you have hit rock bottom in my estimations and yes my tv will be tuned elsewhere on saturday evening.......
Posted by: JOOLS | 10 November 2009 at 10:02
It will be interesting to see what comments Simon makes about the twins this Saturday (for anyone who still wants to watch it that is!). Having criticised them every week, if he changes his tune this Saturday he will look a fool but if he repeats his comments about their inability to sing he will appear just what he is, and that is a hypocrite. Entertainment value is not good enough, only if you are watching Britains Got Talent. I personally think it has only encouraged young kids to vote for the twins with Simon knocking them down, so that is obviously his tactic to get their fans upset and vote but it won't wash any more. As a judge he has lost all credibility now, and come to that, apart from Danni, so have the others. Would either Simon or Louis offer the twins a recording contract? I don't think so. The only fair way for the voting now is for the public to vote who they want to leave and ditch the judges. Obviously though that would not attract so many votes and therefore less money for greedy Mr. Cowell.
Posted by: disgusted | 10 November 2009 at 07:55
Well if Mr Cowell thinks the country loves the Twins........lets all vote for them every week until they are crowned the winners and then abandon them. That'll bankrupt Mr Cowell when NO-ONE buys the single and album!
Posted by: Julie | 10 November 2009 at 07:18
Will not watch again. A bloody mockery of what the show is meant to be about!
Everyone I have spoken to agrees it's a joke!!
All they care about is money!!!!
Posted by: Ru Theo | 09 November 2009 at 22:48
I agree with Kimberley, the public vote should be the only vote and the act with the lowest vote should go home! Simon, you're a disgrace!
Posted by: AH | 09 November 2009 at 22:44
The final 3 on Sunday stood on stage was John & Edward, Lucie and Jamie (Simon's act). Now, if the roles had been reversed, and Jamie's name had not been shouted, and Lucie had got through, do you really think the situation will be as it is now, the only vote that they would have got would be from Louis, and it would have been a clear decision without the need for deadlock, Simon would have kept his own act in (Jamie) and its not secret that Danni and Cheryl have been itching to get rid of them too. At the end of the day, he did a total u-turn on what he had been saying since the live shows and the auditions for that matter started, the boys cannot sing or dance yet alone do them together, yet he kept them in! His decision was not based on the performance of the night, as he said it would be, and he bottled it big style. Louis should be sacked, one for putting these two losers through to start with and secondly for acting like a spoilt brat everytime somebody challenges him. Hardly think that sticking 2 fingers up at an audience on a family show is appropriate behaviour, and he cannot get out of it by denying it because it has been pictured in the papers. Its a fix and Simon has lost a lot of credibility through doing this. He didn't have to go to deadlock, he just didn't want to lose the ratings if the waste of spaces went. They have gotten far more press coverage than the rest of the acts, which again is an unfair advantage, they fluked their way through the initial auditions by singing over another girl, blagged their way through the boot camp and were dreadful at Louis' house, what in the hell was he thinking when he put them through, he should have listened to Ronan!!!
Posted by: sue | 09 November 2009 at 22:16
I will not be watching XFactor again and I’ve already had a conversation with my daughter who albeit initially disappointed has also accepted that she will not be watching it either. I can honestly say that I have not been tricked or seduced into a ratings winning scam but have made a conscious decision that I will avoid this money making exploitation farce from now on. Firstly, the contestants are chosen to be in the finals based on their geographical location and not talent. It’s designed to ensure a geographical spread throughout the Uk to manipulate the phone vote and generate as much money as possible. This is why we had finalists from both Scotland and Ireland who couldn’t sing while other more talended individuals were rejected. The idea that the judges decide who goes into the live shows and who progresses afterwards is laughable. There’s a bigger wider agenda and we don’t see who pulls the strings. I decided weeks ago that the show wasn’t good for my eight year old daughter. It distorts what’s important from what’s not. Then there’s the phoney arguments, the staged tiffs, the waterworks…all against a backdrop of the more talented individuals been eliminated while others worth more money are pushed on to continue. This isn't a good message to transmit. Having seen this over the last fortnight enough is enough. What side is Strictly on? :-)

Lucy shouldn't have lost out to them stupid little boys! yes they are a laugh and will be in the public eye 2mins after this is all over but that girl has lost out on a real dream that she truly deserved!!
Posted by: sam | 09 November 2009 at 20:27
There is absolutely no doubt that this girl can sing and, with a bit of age and experiencce, could be outstanding. I've been a professional musician, composer and arranger for 30 odd years and sometimes tune in on a Sat. evening to have a smile at what the self acclaimed experts have to say. If you remember, a week or so ago Mr. Cowell accused Lucy of 'acting' when she gave a near flawless reading of My Funny Valentine. Mr. Cowell, that's what singers do and, by your reckoning and based on Saturday's performance. Leona must be in line for an Oscar. I think the trouble Lucy had is that she is more a jazz than a pop singer and the show's producers insisted on burying her vocal in the backing track 'cause that's what they know how to do. Do that and almost anyone, good or bad, sounds indifferent. She's not a Miley or an Avril; she's too good a singer. Compare Saturday's vocal when she was buried deep, with the last one she gave in the 'sing off'. Totally different. I hope she doesn't lose heart and remembers that this same so called expert once said Diana Vickers couldn't sing and look at her now; starring to great acclaim in the West End. This is also the same man who, in an interview I once read, said I'm paid to sell CDs not make good music. Just as well, really. As for John & Edward, they're good fun. Good luck to them, I hope they win. At least they don't take thenselves seriously. Show's a bit of a joke now though isn't it, so perhaps them winning's the best outcome.

Lucie is a wonderful singer and to be admired for keeping her dignity like her mentor - Jedward should have gone- Simon would have been hated whatever decision he made. What got to me more is how rude Mr Walsh is becoming he needs to get a grip on his manners.
Posted by: Barbara | 09 November 2009 at 19:21
I have no doubt whatsoever that Simon knew exactly who received the lowest vote from the public when he decided it should go to "deadlock". That in itself is totally wrong but the man is a complete and utter hypocrite and although people have said he is a businessman after all, well we are his "customers" and I think enough people are outraged about this so he should be very worried about a backlash.
Posted by: jilly | 09 November 2009 at 18:12
The show is based on the public voting to save their favourite acts. Not enough people voted for Lucie and that is why she is out not because simon chose to go to deadlock. If anything this choice gives the voting public more of a say.
People may say that they didnt think they would have vote as they presumed her safe. Have they not watched the rest of this series?! People have unexpectedly gone out, it isnt possible to predict this year! The blame for lucys departure rest firmly with her fans that didnt vote for her, many of whom who are the ones doing the complaining which is slighty ironic. If all the people so outraged with the fact she is gone actually voted for her then she would still be in the competition, simple as.
Posted by: G | 09 November 2009 at 18:01
Like others I will never watch X Factor again. It is a total fix, acts that can sing get booted off by judges that pass the buck back to the audience.
Simon Cowell should not be a judge as he produces the show and there is a conflict of interest. I used to like him but he demonstrated last night that he has no integrity when he said he would judge the boys and Lucie on their performance – then a few minutes later because based on his previous comment he should have sent home the boys – he decided to leave it to the audience vote – probably knowing he would be rid of a real contender. Don’t expect simon coward to leave the programme and the country if the boys win as he can’t keep his word for 10 minutes even
Cheryl’s bitchy comments about danyl are all an act as simon pulls her strings to make sure one of his no talent artists stay in the show based on the symphony vote. Rachel had far more to put up with than danyl
Lucie has not slagged simon or the show off she is a true trooper and simon should be ashamed of his comments and lack of a spine.
Lucie was not unpopular, she suffered from people believing she was safe and not playing the symphony vote, I hope she makes a record and not with simon as I and many others will buy it – because she can sing and simon can’t judge.
Simon should do the decent thing and let her come back next week based on the huge support she has – he made a concession for the little girl on BGT so it can be done.

Like many people before me know many of these supposed competitions run by mr coward r fixed in his(pocket)favour , i agree with those who say lets hit him where it hurts in the pockets of his high waisted troos! dont vote dont watch switch to scd
Posted by: brett | 09 November 2009 at 16:48
omg! i cant believe simon got the chance to get jedward out of the show and he choice not too!!! wtf is going on? :L lucy your better then jedward!! xx
Posted by: Laura | 09 November 2009 at 16:31
the only reason simon voted for john and edward was because he knew lucie was good. He knew she had a high possibility of winning and he wanted to defend his boys.
Posted by: amy | 09 November 2009 at 16:18
Why did Simon get the casting vote AGAIN? Cheryl should have had it and the result might have been different. Joe, Jamie or Stacey to win.
Posted by: faye | 09 November 2009 at 16:13
Has anyone read Chart Throb by Ben Elton??? Might give a clearer understanding of what the X factor is all about!
Posted by: JC | 09 November 2009 at 16:06
cant believe what people are writing on here havent you any intelligence at all its all fixed, its the simon and louie show they are just bickering to hype the show up and danni and cheryl are just their muppets we watch to have a laugh cos non of them can sing i sit and cringe as they try to get to the high notes then go off tune if you look back on past xfactor theres a set pattern and normal people can see that drrrr!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: jordie sue | 09 November 2009 at 15:46
So Jed & Ed entertain you Becca! You are obviously easily pleased and willing to accept lower standards than some. This just goes to proove the UK public will sit back and accept any crap thats thrown at them. Hence why I've had enough and going to live in Australia.
Posted by: Radar | 09 November 2009 at 15:44
jedward are being kept in because ....
they entertain us, make us laugh, x-factr would be boring without them. dont like it then tuff !
jedward:D entertainin the nation :L
olly or daniel to win !:D
Posted by: becca | 09 November 2009 at 15:28
I and everybody I know is so disgusted with the show last night and will not be watching the programme again, I think Simon Cowell has sounded the death knell to the programme - I hope!!! talented singers do not stand a chance anymore with this type of programme
Posted by: Jodie | 09 November 2009 at 15:00
This was surposed to be a singing contest but it has been turned on its head. Simon just wants to get J & E on contract and make money from them when they appear at Butlins.
Posted by: John T | 09 November 2009 at 14:42
I will not be watching this shambles again - i've had it with the tactical voting. I actually hope that the twins win now because Simon won't be able to sell their records and it will backfire on him big time! He said at the start of the sing off that he would choose the best vocals. Does he really think that John and Edward had the better vocals than Lucy - he has spent weeks telling them that they cannot sing. He has just made himself look like a big fool and everyone now knows that this is fixed. John and Edward to win - lets see Simon squirm!!
Posted by: sturner | 09 November 2009 at 14:42
Why do they not tell us how many votes each contestent individually got? Maybe its because they don't want us to know how many millions thay have made from people knieve enough to vote in the first place.
Posted by: dav | 09 November 2009 at 14:23
whats happening to this country that "votes" can be manipulated? Teenybops with mobiles can rule the world. If itv only accepted landlines then you would see a big difference,But hey its all about moneymaking not talent. Its sad so many people are sucked in to this.Lucie was a victim....NOT FAIR she did not deserve to go
Posted by: grannyo | 09 November 2009 at 13:51
John & Edward should do the honourable thing and withdraw from this farce they call the x factor. Lucy should be re-instated immediately.
I shall never watch this show again it has gone beyond a joke, lets us all see the voting numbers for our self's,and let Lucy come back, she has a wounderful voice.
Posted by: Chris Parker-Beviss | 09 November 2009 at 13:36
No-one has mentioned the fact that Jedward HAD BACKING VOCALS when they did the sing-off !!! Is that not vheating AGAIN ?? All the others sing alone, as Lucie did and Rachel last week...then we see a coupe of CLOWNS..singing along with the prepared recording..the only bit they did themselves was when they TRIED TO WRAP - AND WHAT A MESS THAT WAS. WHY WERE THEY ALLOWED BACKING AND TO SING ALONG WITH AN OBVIOUSLY PREPARED RECORDING - TO COVER UP THEIR OWN TERRIBLE VOICES !!!!
COMPLETE JOKE - and a FIX - IT IS NOW TIME FOR SIMON GO BACK TO AMERICA AND STAY THERE - YOU ARE NO LONGER CREDIBLE IN THE UK. IF SOMEONE AT ITV READS THIS PLEASE PASS IT ONTO SIMON. PEOPLE ARE SWITCHING OFF -
DANNI IS THE ONLY ONE WITH COMMON SENSE AND HONESTY.
Posted by: Chez | 09 November 2009 at 13:21
I totally agree with most of the things people have said i think simon cowell is bein tactical he simply voted lucie off to save his own acts jedward are pap and they seriously need to go now its a real joke they new they couldnt sing so why apply for a singing contest britains got talent is more up there ally, stacie to win....
Posted by: mini minx | 09 November 2009 at 13:16
what did simon say putting everything aside they will be judged on the performance that they will now do so tell me how could it have gone to dealock Luci's performance was way better than the twins so I am now convinced its a fix, I bet if it was between one of simons acts and the twins he would have got very stroppy if his act was booted off, very sad but definately a fix
Posted by: kate | 09 November 2009 at 13:08
Absolutely appalling! Why do we bother? Simon Coward is not worth a light. That was the most cruel thing I have ever seen on TV how could he destroy a young girl in such a public way, Simon you should be ashamed of yourself
He has finally shown his true colours and is taking the money, let’s hope he takes the money and runs to the hills (Beverly preferably).
Posted by: Bill | 09 November 2009 at 13:08
having watched every episode, and picking the winner on more than one occasion. I now feel simon did let lucie down, and himself. Please all vote 4 the twins and kick simon where it hurts, just watch them all crindge on final day, lol.
Posted by: mel | 09 November 2009 at 13:05
Jedward number one for Christmas " Wombles of Wimbldon"
Lucie we love you!!!
Posted by: Diane | 09 November 2009 at 13:05
I dont think that it should go to the judges decisions I think the act with the lowest public vote should go home.
Posted by: Kimberley | 09 November 2009 at 13:04
This is a TV show! Don't like it, don't watch, get a life and go to the pub.......Simon is a business man and he is playing you all like kippers. The more you get worked up the more money he makes.
Enjoy it for what it is, light (?) entertainment, Danyl or Jamies to win........woohoooo
Posted by: Jules | 09 November 2009 at 12:59
None of the people who have been put out so far are any good or would they have won the show NO. so whats all the fuss about, the twins are entertainment but they wont win, the public are voting for them so the must have fans somewhere, Lucy was getting to big for her boots anyway.......
Posted by: KJ | 09 November 2009 at 12:58
will the last person to leave 'x factor' please turn off the lights? I think everyone else would have left by now. I certainly have. For a couple of obviously talentless twins to progress further than a talented singer like Lucie is beyond anyone's comprehension. This has to be a rigged competition, and no doubt the ratings will suffer. I presume it's felt that Louis has to have someone left to mentor in thew last few weeks in order to balance the mentoring judges, therefore the twins must be kept in at all costs.
Posted by: dave | 09 November 2009 at 12:57
i think that simon needs a reality check after keeping the two irish twits in the show i think i might apply next year who knows i might win it
Posted by: mark | 09 November 2009 at 12:56
HEY GRUMPY
YOU FORGOT ITS
LITTLE WEED
HA HA VERY LITTLE WEED
Posted by: carol | 09 November 2009 at 12:55
I was trying to think who John and Edward remind me of it's Bill & Ben with Simon Cowell as weed
Posted by: grumpy | 09 November 2009 at 12:53
If everyone is so upset about Lucie being voted off, then perhaps they should have voted for her and she wouldn't have been at the bottom
Posted by: Suzanne | 09 November 2009 at 12:50
what a gutless man simon coward is, he knew Lucie was his biggest threat and jumped at the chance to get rid of her, because of all the hipe about j & e and the amount of votes they were getting simons fly way of getting what he wanted was to make it go to deadlock, he knows lucie is the talented one, it can take any stupid teenager to vote 4 young talentless boys - just wait till their parents get the phone bills in, he was supposed to be a judge, more like a jury
show him the systems a fix and join in with his game, fix this weeks show
SWITCH OFF ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND SEE HOW MUCH MONEY HE MAKES OR LOSES HA HA
Posted by: carol | 09 November 2009 at 12:48
What a hypocrite Simon Cowell is. Always admired his honesty, but what a joker he is. Singing competition don't make me laugh. He wanted Jedwared out from start, when he had chance he blew it. Voting public should save their money and boycott biased system. Making fools of us all.
Posted by: dianne | 09 November 2009 at 12:42
where do you start after saturday and sunday night, we had louis act like a petulance 7year old whinging to simon about cheating then sticking two fingers up to the crowd then on top of that on extra factor he stepped it up a gear with a women on the phone, it was cringing to watch and you call this man a judge he should never have been brought back after they got rid of him last year a big mistake. then what does simon do make an even bigger one by keeping those fools in he has said right from the start that they should not have got through and the first time he has to send them packing he blows it as soon as he sent it to the public vote everyone knew that poor sweet girl was going home she even knew, simon has let himself down, the show and the public with the way he acted, if he cant decided who was the best (and him a JUDGE)then he should not be judging then. all i can say is simon has now put the last couple of nails in the coffin of his show and with simon keeping those 2 fools in if they win it now god help us if thats the best talent we can get in this country.
Posted by: joanne | 09 November 2009 at 12:39
So Gary we are all Muppets. Yet you believe this whole show is not rigged or manipulated. No further comment required on that one. However people the only way Mr Simon Coward is going to take any notice is if everyone stops watching and voting. But there are enough Gary's in this world to keep this whole joke going.

Cowell did NOT have the courage of his convictions,
What everyone should do now to smack Cowell is ALL vote for the Twins,or dont vote for anyone.
Posted by: brian alexander | 09 November 2009 at 12:38
Simon Cowell is two-faced. Over the last weeks he had vehemently criticised John & Edward for their lack of singing skills. He had the opportunity to vote them out and he caved in - what a shame?. I hope none of his acts win. The nation should now stand behind John and Edward so that they win the competition and Simon can disappear from Britain. He had obviously overstayed his welcome in this sort of competitions.

It can only be to get public viewing Simon Cowell had a chance to get rid of the twins if they had talent! yes keep them Lucie I thought sang good far better than some who were through. What a con why don't we see the results like it did before when the public was voting?
Posted by: santa paws | 09 November 2009 at 12:31
I agree, no more voting, Cowall is disgusting and a coward. He should have done the decent thing and put the boys out.
This show is a FIX.......
He should have remembered it is a talent show after listening to Leona, that is what the show is supposed to be about, finding talent not 'having fun'as Louis Walsh continually says. Nothing about Talent!! or has he forgotton too.
FIX

What an absolute farce last nights show was. Simon should think about changing his name to Simon Coward. Every week he has moaned about how horrendous the Twins are and last night saw the perfect opportunity to finally get rid of them. But, instead preferred a very talented singer to be evicted over those diabolical twins. Shame on Simon. Not sure I want to see the Twins win. But, if they do, it will serve Simon right!
Posted by: Susan | 09 November 2009 at 12:29
they should rename the show the joke factor as that is what the show has become 1 big joke i for 1 have vowed not 2 watch this again i only feel very sorry for the people who can sing they r being used 2 make big bucks for simons pocket everyone should boycott the show mayby then they would sit up and pay attention 2 what the public really want good honest talent being treated as such
Posted by: viv | 09 November 2009 at 12:29
Can i point out to some of you simpletans out there that the same thing happened a few years ago with Louie and a girl called Maria, Ah the penny drops! and your'e still watching the programme, did anyone notice Lucy when interviewed by Dermott after her performance Sat night, she tried to impersonate Stacey. The bottom line is you muppets didnt VOTE for her so Simon was spot on with what he did Ha! Ha!
Posted by: Caron | 09 November 2009 at 12:26
maybe the twins should win now! then Simon would have to give them a contract! that would really screw him!
Posted by: Shaz | 09 November 2009 at 12:25
This show has always been a fix and I cannot believe people are silly enough to vote in the first place as the only person who really benefits is Simon. It dosn't matter who wins as the single will be guaranteed a xmas number one even if a trained chimp sang it!!
Posted by: Deano | 09 November 2009 at 12:25
Simon Cowell should be booted out, he is NOT doing his job that they are paying him for .Rachel should never of gone out or Lucie, meanwhile John and Edward were very entertaining ,Halloween and Ghostbusters ,but they seriously Cannot win, although I wish then a good future in childrens television
Lloyd Daniels has now outstayed his turn ,no real talent there,is well overdue to be eliminated .
Posted by: Cheryl Merrony | 09 November 2009 at 12:24
People ..its all about TV Ratings NOT tallent....
Posted by: Marco | 09 November 2009 at 12:24
The real problem is that poeple seem to be under the impression that X Factor is a singing contest. Actually it is a contest between the 4 judges and the acts are secondary. Alexandra Burke did not win last year... Cheryl Cole did. Also if the makers of this show really cared for the singers why do they ban anyone other than the winner from releasing any records for 1 year after the show has finished!
Posted by: James Ward | 09 November 2009 at 12:24
this system should be who you want to vote off, this way the true loser would be apparent and the better performers would remain.
This current sytem allows voting to be distorted and does not represent the true figures.
Simon Cowell is a concieted egomaniac, I dont think I will watch this again it is not representive of true tallent
Posted by: jack Lawmon | 09 November 2009 at 12:23
Wot a complete fix!!!!!! Simon is just a coward! I wonder if he'd go back to public vote if it was 1 of his acts in the bottom 2??? i think we all know the answer to that...
i hope J&E win now (and not 1 of Simons acts) and knock Simon down a peg or 2!
Posted by: hazel | 09 November 2009 at 12:18
I think Simon has raised an interesting issue, watching on Sunday made me question the need for the judges as Simon clearly didn't do the job he is supposed to do. If they're not there to judge the talent then what are they there for?? But I also question the sanity of the general public that have voted for John and Edward for this long!!
Posted by: LD | 09 November 2009 at 12:18
haha, absolutely. TWINS TO WIN! TWINS TO WIN! TWINS TO WIN! I'm sure that would shut him up.
Posted by: Jo | 09 November 2009 at 12:17
HELLO PEOPLE THE REASON THEY ARE STILL IN IS BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE VOTE FOR THEM. PEOPLE LIKE ME. JOHN AND EDWARD FANS DO EXIST YOU KNOW. THERES NO VOTING FIXING OR CONSPIRACY YOU MUPPETS.
Posted by: Gary | 09 November 2009 at 12:16
omg i cant believe what simon cowell did!! lucy is far better than the twins
simon the whole time thru the shows hated the twins why didny he just vote them off!!!he wants his acts to win that why he did it and i bet its all fixed!!
just to put simon cowell straigh i do hope the twins win, then he can flee the country like he said he would!!! would surve him right!!
Posted by: x factor fan | 09 November 2009 at 12:15
So Simon Coward (sorry Cowell) has done it again. The vote will be solely on tonights performance (that's Simons words not mine). On the night Lucie was infinitely better than J and E. Last week was the same - Rachel was far better than Lloyd, but once again Simon cannot judge for himself. Why do we bother having the judges, who refuse to make a judgement. The show supposed to be about talent, and who can sing. J and E and Lloyd fail on both counts.
Posted by: JJ | 09 November 2009 at 12:15
Simon Cowell has just admitted it's nothing but a business to him. So fine, but why does anyone even enter the X Factor then? If your not in his group then you're doomed! because it's not like he's got the real talented singers best interests at heart is it? The only decent judge on there is Danni, & i completely agree with her.. "good luck to all the talented singers in the show".
Posted by: Jo | 09 November 2009 at 12:15
what a fix, i will never watch the X,FCT again, such a con, all my mates agree and they have also said they will never watch it again, as we all feel insulted and cheated.
Posted by: c sewell | 09 November 2009 at 12:15
SIMON'S LOST CREDIBILITY,
THIS FARCE IS OBVIOUSLY FIXXED IS THERE A REASON THEY DON'T SHOW THE NUMBER OF VOTES FOR EACH ACT LIVE THEM WE COULD VOTE TO CHANGE IT.
Posted by: Martin | 09 November 2009 at 12:10
SIMON COWELL IS JUST A TWO FACED GIT ONE MIN HE RUNS THEM DOWN THEN SAYS THEY ARE GOOD ENTERTAINMENT I THOUGHT IT WAS A COMPETITION FOR SINGERS THE TWO IDIOTS J+E BELONG ON A CHILDRENS PROGRAM FOR UNDER 7S
I WONT WATCH ANY MORE OF THIS FIXED PROGRAM
Posted by: trevor knight | 09 November 2009 at 12:09
Simon Cowell - Brilliant, what a genuis ! You could have not engineered a better piece of publicity than last nights show ! Everybody is talking about the X Factor - Simon Cowell for Prime Minister !
Posted by: Lee Staff | 09 November 2009 at 12:06
well done simon i will not be watching the x factor again from the start you did not like the twins it was absolutly disgusting what you did to lucie last night she should get back on the show FACT!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: elizabeth | 09 November 2009 at 12:06
What a farce. Its supposed to be a talent show,These have no talent whatsoever.Anyone could do what the twins do.I definately wouldn`t be buying anything they release, whats more I won`t be watching anymore X factors. We want stars not silly little boys who can`t sing never mind dance.Come on Simon, you never liked them anyway.Talk about 2 faced!!
Posted by: Trish | 09 November 2009 at 12:06
SIMON HAS LOST ALL CREDEBILITY, THIS FARCE MAKES IT OBVIOUS IT IS FIXED.WHY DON'T THEY SHOW THE VOTES FOR EACH ACT THEN IF PEOPLE DISAGREE THEY CAN VOTE TO CHANGE IT.
Posted by: Martin | 09 November 2009 at 12:04
I think Simon is the greatest karaoke show producer on earth he reels out karaoke girl singers and boy singers and not one has picked up an instrument talent is about the hole package not just singing to a live backing music. But you have to admit its good entertainment just my opinion as Simon says.
Posted by: K TURLEY | 09 November 2009 at 12:04
Feeling a bit ruff this morning . Listen there's 3 million adults in my house and we all thought of the name Simon Coward first and will never watch the show ever and ever again until next Saturday and if your not careful will throw teddy out of the cot too .
Posted by: Louis Walsh's alsation | 09 November 2009 at 12:03
Simon Cowell can take his show and shove it where the sun do'nt shine. I for one refuse to watch it ever again. He is just a grabbing and arrogant.
Posted by: Pete | 09 November 2009 at 12:03
What a waste of time and money.... Everyone I have spoken to (and also all of the facebook comments) will no longer watch it... Simon has lost his balls and also his marbles; his new address is: fixed up show @ never never land along with peter pan and wendy. what's the point?
