I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, Thursday 8.30pm, ITV1
Posted by Tom Murphy

It always happens – we get down to the last few, and instead of tension, back-biting and tooth-gnashing, we get love, peace and understanding. Rather than a grim ordeal of testicle-munching and exposure to the elements, it turns into the kind of drink-fuelled camping mayhem you enjoyed with your mates when you were 16.
After mourning the expulsion of “ebony Adonis” Simon Webbe - “his buns were very well formed” - George Takei, along with David Van Day, Joe Swash and Martina Navratilova, was summoned for a joint Bushtucker Trial - “Celebrity Cyclone”. The Starfleet veteran performed with distinction, striding into an onslaught from water cannon and a wind machine to lead the team to four-star success.
Joe was still in the grip of a major adrenaline rush by the time they got back to camp, throwing himself frenziedly into another mini-task. Four ice creams had been hidden within the camp, and had to be found and eaten before they melted. While Joe left no shrub unturned to find the final goodie, David showed a lot less enthusiasm, heading instead into the bus to play with his toiletries.
The fun kept on coming. After the Celebrity Chest challenge provided the marvellous spectacle of Martina firing tennis balls out of a giant teapot and David wearing a tiny cup on the top of his head, Joe was given a video camera to make a documentary about camp life. However, the film soon became an impromptu video for the soon-to-be-megahit “Biff Baff Boff” (although we missed the final cut because Joe kept forgetting to press record).
And it didn't stop there. After dinner, the final foursome faced the terror of “chocolate roulette”. They were given a plateful of delicious-looking chocolates, some of which were not all they seemed. George's face was a picture as he drew three non-chocolates in a row, and the whole thing descended into hysterical hilarity, prompting Joe to wee himself (only slightly).
The following morning, it looked like curtains for George when he and David were the last two. However, in a shock announcement (after rumours of David being miles ahead on the phone vote), the Dollar man became the ninth person to leave the camp. David was actually surprisingly pleasant in his interview, saying that his work in the jungle was done and that the three nice people who were left didn't need him messing with their heads any more. No doubt he's also looking forward to making the real video for “Biff Baff Boff”.

I must admit the Chest with David with a teacup on his head standing under a bucket of water and getting soaked was absolutely hilarious. I must admit I was looking forward to a good old argument or showdown between David and the others, instead it was all harmony. The best final would have been David and Joe having a good old argument. I shall miss David and his "ways".

I have to say that last nights show was the best of this years programmes. I was in stitches at them doing the trial, the treasure chest was absolutely hilarious and tasting the chocolates had me choking with laughter.
My evening was made when DVD was evicted, leaving three worthy contestants to go for first place.
I wish them all the best of luck on the final day and would be happy for any of them to win.

David went way up in my estimation after his exit interview. He came across pleasant and normal. It was very nice of him to knight Joe his Jungle King and describe him as the "salt of the earth".
I'm delighted at the Final 3. Would have LOVED Esther to have made the finals too.
The look of disgust on George's face as he drew the nasty chocolates was pricless! Absolutely hilarious LOL! It was nice to hear Martina laugh loud and heartily (even if it was at Joe wetting his pants, hahaha).
The cyclone trial was SO MUCH FUN! I want to do that! :D George did fantastic, bless him. I was in stitches watching Joe trying to steady himself against the wind machine!! Everyone falling over had me rolling LMAO. Joe really is such a good hearted, energetic, hardworking funny character. Good luck to them all.
