With WrestleMania 23 just 27 days away, things are shaping up nicely for the Detroit showpiece.

After Mr.Kennedy claimed the seventh spot in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match there's just one further place up for grabs. My money right now would be on Edge, but that last spot could be crucial.

The guest referee for the Battle of the Billionaires is set to be unveiled tonight on RAW. Will it be Stone Cold Steve Austin? Is this the worst kept secret in WWE history? Will I and everyone else be spectacularly wrong?

Finally the Cena/HBK and Batista/Undertaker angles are trundling along without many surprises, maybe we'll see things take a twist over the next few weeks as the hype machine goes into overdrive ahead of April 1st.

I'll break this to you gently: World Wrestling Entertainment... (whisper it)... is fixed!

Have you picked yourselves up off the floor yet? Recovered from the blow that the sport you've watched for years is actually scripted?

A mate revealed this stunning news to me in the pub last night. He informed me that WWE is "not real", "all made up in advance"... "they even use razor blades and stuff to make them bleed!"

He seemed more surprised though, that I knew this. That we ALL know it. Just like we know Coronation Street isn't real, but millions watch it.

WWE is a soap opera, but it's the most spectacular soap opera you'll ever witness, crammed with some of the world's finest athletes giving their all for your entertainment. It sucks you in - you just need to suspend your disbelief.

(Oh, and here's another shocker - The Undertaker's not actually dead!)

I'm a 32-year old World Wrestling Entertainment fan from the North of England. I'll be publishing my scattershot thoughts on this blog, and look forward to reading your comments on matters of the squared circle...

It happened while watching RAW, when Ric Flair was rolled up by Jeff Hardy for the three count. For me - Ric Flair's legend died.

The Nature Boy, 16-time World Heavyweight Champion and general all-round WWE legend peacocked his way around the ring against Hardy, going through the motions. "Wooooooooo!", he shrilled at every available occasion. The shuffles thrown in, the shapes thrown, the chests slapped.

But like watching a fading James Brown in his latter years attempting to recreate those dazzling moves of the 60s and 70s, Flair can't cut it any more. It's noble that he'll put over 'lesser' wrestlers, but before long he'll be selling for all he's worth to Eugene and Val Venis, week in, week out.

Time to hang up the feather boa Ric - quit the ring while you still have a legend status to be proud of.
