Dream Lodge is a Given

Morning everyone. Punting wise it was a shocking day on Thursday with neither selection running any kind of race.

Friday’s card looks no easier, but I’m backing James Given’s Dream Lodge (Chester 1.45pm), £10 e/w at the current 18-1.

I also fancy Achill Island to give Aidan O’Brien string bounce back wins in the Dee Stakes (Chester 2.15pm).

Thankfully we can concentrate on a cracking mixed, jump-flat card at Haydock on Saturday afternoon.

In the devilishly difficult Swinton handicap hurdle (2pm) I’m going to support James Fanshawe’s Buster Hyvonen. He just missed out on making the cut for Wednesday’s Chester Cup and appeals as an e/w choice. I’ll have £10 e/w at the starting price.
