Premier League...your view
Newcastle's revival continued with a 2-0 derby win over Sunderland that ends any threat of relegation from the Premier League.
Michael Owen scored both goals to gladden Toon hearts after a season which, like the club's sponsors Northern Rock, has seen plenty of ups and downs.
Aston Villa remained on course for nicking the Uefa Cup spot from Everton's grasp with a fabulous 5-1 destruction of hapless Birmingham.
Martin O'Neill's men are now just three points adrift of The Toffees after a brace each for Ashley Young and John Carew and one for Gabriel Agbonlahor.
For the Blues, the future looks bleak. They remain in the relegation zone after a horrendous defensive peformance and have Liverpool to come next week.
Benjani punished his old club as Manchester City kept in the hunt for a Uefa Cup place with a 3-1 win over 10-man Portsmouth at Eastlands. He sealed the victory with a fine goal and claimed the man of the match award after Hermann Hreidarsson had been sent off.

Will Owen stay at Newcastle? Can Villa pip Everton? Should City sack Sven? Are Birmingham doomed? Have your say via the boxes below.

God I hate Chelsea. Cynical joyless football. Vile shady Russian owner, dour manager, miserable git of a captain. They all look as though they're hating every minute.

I was thinking, apart from last week, I cant remember the last time man u got a penalty in the league? Its not that much is it? Ronaldo is the penalty taker but I dont remember him scoring any? Anyone who has half an eye cant surely want Chelsea to win the league? Its like Ambramovich is trying to ruin football, he saw a nice league with man u and arsenal playing good football and thought "i know i will spends loads of money and ruin that league". Anyway it makes no difference, if man u lose to chelsea they still have the advantage thanks to the goal difference. x

HUGE brum derby 2 tomorrow - any guessing who'll win ??

the 2 top men in the game were brad friedel (EX LFC) and especially the referee rob styles, extra credit to him for being a strong referee like alex requests and refusing to be swayed by the red mob and their constant penalty claims.
its amazing when utd dont get a penalty in a match - they dont win, then cue the numerous calls into radio fone-in shows whinging about it - (mainly with cockney accents) they conveniently forget about the previous 30-odd matches where every dubious penalty claim has gone their way!
ha ha chelsea for the title!!

nice one brad - you've given us a chance of catching the mancs. We can take utd at the bridge, win the league, replace avram with michael laudrup and start playing some decent football next season. and yes we'll beat liverpool next week.

Of course Brad's the best in Europe - nay the world. He has been for years. we made United work hard for their point - and the title race isn't all over just yet.
