Chambers joins Castleford...Your view
Castleford have confirmed that controversial sprinter Dwain Chambers has joined the Super League strugglers on a one-month trial.
The Tigers have denied that this is a publicity stunt but will struggle to explain why they have signed a cheating athlete who before a photo shoot last week, had never held a rugby ball.
Chambers, who previously served a two-year drug ban in athletics, spent a brief spell playing American Football after a stint on Gordon Ramsay’s Hell's Kitchen.
However, Chambers couldn’t stand the heat and walked out of the reality show in tears. If he thought that was tough then he hasn’t got a chance of surviving in the Super League.
If by some miracle, Chambers makes a competitive appearance for the Tigers, the opposing players are going to take great joy in welcoming the disgraced athlete into their game.
What do you think of Chambers joining the Super League? Is it just a publicity stunt? Will his speed be enough or will the trial end in more tears? Let us know by adding you thoughts below.

Joke... it devalues all the hard work young RL lads put in to make it... he has never played the game before, didn't even know how many players are in a RL team!!
Just a cheap PR stunt & a poor one at that. Absolutely embarrasing situation & Castleford should be ashamed of themselves. If this guy steps foot on a Super League pitch, he'll get run ragged & look a fool. That's if he's lucky. If he's unlucky, he'll get seriously hurt.
That said, he's served his ban and i think he should be given a second chance...

Agree with Colin.
He has served his ban so let him do what he can and test him to make sure he has stopped cheating.
I never thought he would come back - who did?
He has come back so is he possibly one of our best talents or have the governing body got it wrong?
He has served his time now let's see what he's got.
By the way how many world records do the old drugged up Eastern Europeans and China still hold?

I don't agree with drugs cheats BUT he has served his ban and shouldn't be victimised now. If the governing body don't like their own rules which give them the power to ban athletes then they should change them, NOT victimise the athletes who serve the bans the authorities deem fit to serve them. And IF he is clean and can prove it and goes on to be a success wouldn't it be a wonderful statement/example to youngsters to show you don't need to cheat to win?

I dont think he will get signed after the trial. He failed in American football and I think he'll fail in rugby league. What next - golf?

He had a ban for two years and he's served it. Many people have had bans and come back to compete and nothings been said. He at least was honest and owned up rather than denying it to the hilt like some athletes. Let him get on with it and if anyone does have an issue with him competing then they should direct it at the body that banned him for two years (or even the people that laid down the framework for the two year bans) and let this guy get on rebuilding his life after hes served the punishment given too him.

Chambers is a disgrace to British sport. He is going to get what is coming to him if he plays for Castleford.
