So far this winter, Kovalainen has been quicker than Hamilton. How? Why?

Piquet is the perfect No.2 driver for Renault -- at least that's what Alonso is probably thinking; he showed he could'nt handle being outclassed last year by a better driver, so a slow Piquet is just fine for him. I just hope that Kovalainen stuffs it to him this year!

I'm interested but then again I'm a complete car nerd! Come on Lewis, don't balls it up for a second season.

I'm bemused by the decision to swap Kovalainen for Piquet. If anything, Kovalainen's the more accomplished driver and Renault look set to waste more time in the early part of the season blooding a new young driver. Alonso won't mind as it's less of a threat to him while McLaren won't mind as in Kovalainen they've managed to pull a driver of real class out of the bag for next season, which is impressive stuff. I look forward to seeing the Finn totally outdo Piquet on the track.
