I agree. Sell Owen. The Newcastle fans want people who want to play for Newcastle and are proud to do so.

Northern Rock & Newcastle go together well..... Jermaine Beccford for England.

too much money is given to Managers and Players and a lot of the players in all of Europes top teams do not earn it and probably never have, which leaves teams like Newcastle spending lots of money on people who are just not good enough, the real interest should be getting back to grass roots getting the youngsters playing,if teams look back into the past then this is the one good thing that emerges, don't spend millions short term the teams who are great now have taken a long time to build, they are usually unheard of as youngsters,as Man utd and Arsenal have proved it is youngsters coming through the ranks working hard who finally become the great players as in the past this one fact remains through all this so called heavy spending,a pretty good example of a club trying to build its future from its past is Wolves,as Mick Mccarthy spends little money but is being given time to get it right from the youth,we as supporters all hopes he brings back some of the Glory days this Belief also exsists with Newcastle fans, all fans yearn for the time when once again their team wins trophies, only a few will make it,but if Keegan really wants to do Newcastle proud then he should look to the young players, it make take a while but it just might work

I hope Kevin will help Newcastle win a couple of trophies!

Kevin, needs to give the out look of the club over 4-5 years,as the Aston Viller boss is doing, no quick fix will do, he can not compete with the top four clubs level yet, Regards:Don

Sort the defence!!and go for it.Like the idea of a Keegan/Shearer 1&2 partnership.

I think the first thing he needs to do is fetch in an assistant with good tactical skills that is something he lacks. If he does this I think the team will be going one way and that is up.

Sell Owen! He does'nt want to be at Newcastle & the money could be re-invested elsewhere.

Having suffered Big Sam's tactics and team selections Keegan will be like a breath of fresh air. I don't expect miracles but if we play with passion and flair then the games will be more enjoyable.

Kevin is quoted today as saying we don't want drab 1 - 0 wins and he wants to get back to the days when we scored goals at will. This is all a good idea but when I left a ground after losing 4 - 3 I did'nt feel that that was a good game I felt we had lost and had no points. I would rather win 40 games 1 - 0 and play poorly than lose 4 - 3 or 6 - 5. Once you get in the habit of winning it stays with you and the good games follow.
