Sport highlights of 2007... Your view

LewishamiltonRather like 2006, the past year has hardly been a succession of British sporting success. But we've still managed to select a number of incidents - both good and bad - from the past 12 months.

You can read our choices here and then let us know yours. Have we missed any out? Have we over-rated some achievements and under-valued others? Just fill in the boxes at the bottom and tell us all your opinions.

2007 Heroes and villains... Your View

StevemcclarenEvery year, sport throws up heroes and villains - and 2007 has been no different.

We've picked out 10 - you can read how and why they make the cut by clicking here.

Now we want your view. Have we missed any out? What do you think of our selections? Using the boxes below, send in your comments and start a debate among other bloggers.

England in Sri Lanka... Your view

EnglandDefeat to India at home and now a woeful performance in Sri Lanka have dropped England's cricketers down to fifth in the ICC World Rankings.

Now the series is over, we've rated each player's performance here. After reading our views, we now want to hear yours. Using the boxes below, why not let us know if we've been too harsh? Perhaps the ratings are overly generous. Who do you think should be dropped and brought in for the tour of New Zealand? Is Peter Moores the man to take England forward?

Funniest sporting moments... Your View

SvengoranerikssonEvery sporting year is full of comical, embarrassing or plain idiotic goings on - and 2007 was no different.

We've picked out ten amusing sporting stories from the year - you can read them all here.

But we also want your view. Our memories are not what they were so we have forgotten some. Are there any incidents which you think should make the list? Do you have a favourite from the ten we've picked? Use the boxes below to send in your thoughts.

Rafa's revolving door... Your view

RafaelbenitezJanuary will be the most important shopping spree of Rafael Benitez's Liverpool career. Get it wrong and his American bosses will surely run out of patience.

We've given the Spaniard a helping hand by telling him five of his squad to get rid of and a handful of new men to sign - read our views here.

Who do you think Rafa should sign? And which of his stuttering squad should he consign to Anfield history? Enter your thoughts below.

Capello's conundrums

Capelloactionimages18thdec1Now that the fuss and hype has (almost) died down following Fabio Capello's appointment as Steve McClaren's successor, the Italian will begin his tour of Premier League grounds in the hunt for his chosen players to lead England to the 2010 World Cup.

He has many tough choices ahead of him. Will he end David Beckham's international career on 99 caps? If so, who will replace him? Who will go in goal? What of the Gerrard/Lampard conundrum? What about the long-running left-sided crisis? Which youngsters will he give a chance?

Orange has put together its own dossier, giving Capello some advice on the tricky selection choices that lay in front of him. You can read some of the ex-Real Madrid and AC Milan coach's thoughts from his first FA press conference here. Most importantly though, we want to hear your thoughts on who should be in Capello's first England squad. Give us your opinions using the box below.

Hatton v Mayweather Jr...Your view

HattonmayweatherRicky Hatton's brave bid to defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr for the WBC world welterweight title ended in failure this morning in Las Vegas.

Despite starting the fight positively, Hatton was gradually out-thought and then out-boxed by 'Pretty Boy' before being knocked down twice in the 10th round.

We've put together a gallery of pictures from the much-hyped bout. You can also read how the fight unfolded here. But most importantly, post your thoughts on the fight using the boxes below.

Britain's greatest post-war fighters...Your view

Lennox_lewis_200x150 Ahead of Ricky Hatton’s welterweight clash with Floyd Mayweather on Saturday, we have decided to take a look at the Britain’s top 10 post-war fighters.

Hatton will hope to add to a fine year of British boxing which saw Joe Calzaghe beat Mikkel Kessler to claim the undisputed super-middleweight crown last month.  But do “The Hitman” and “The Pride of Wales” make our list?

There is certainly a lot of competition and some names have regrettably failed to make our top 10.
