Worst sporting events... Your view

Austria are so ashamed with the standard of their national side, some fans have started a petition asking for them to be withdrawn from Euro 2008!

The news got us thinking about previous sporting events which hosts may subsequently have liked to disassociate themselves from. Our trawl through the annals of sporting history led us to terrorism, political propaganda, mysterious deaths and plain, simple shoddy 'entertainment'.
