Kate’s pro-skinny slogan shocker!

Bad Kate Moss. Bad, bad, baaaad Kate Moss.

The headline-grabbing supermodel has started an almighty great row by admitting she tries to live by the motto: “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”

“You try and remember, but it never works,” she laughed in an interview with fashion news website WWD.

To be fair, the dieting slogan was originally championed by above-board slimming organisations - but nowadays, it’s the kind of motto found plastered across pro-anorexia websites. Oh Kate, what the hell were you thinking?

Whether you like it or not, Ms Moss is a role model to millions of young women - and by appearing to condone the “cult of skinny”, she’s being incredibly irresponsible.

I really can’t imagine why Kate would say something like that - unless, of course, in spite of her super-successful career and superstar lifestyle, she’s actually a prize berk.

And today’s brown-nosing award goes to…

Look! Here’s a (fairly) smiley Kate Moss and her boyfriend Jamie Hince taking a cigarette break outside Scott’s restaurant in London on Friday night.

And rather conveniently, that gives me all the excuse I need to mention a rather silly feature which accompanied a preview of Kate’s new Topshop collection in yesterday’s Observer Woman Magazine.

First we’re told that the supermodel’s Topshop office “smells sweetly of fags”. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? I wonder what’s happening inside…

“Picking delicately at a packet of crisps, Moss is describing her new collection,” the article continues. “’Feature sleeves!’ she squeals. ‘Floaty things! Sexy things! That kimono feeling!’”

So basically, the room stinks of cigarettes and Kate’s wolfing down crisps while shouting out random meaningless phrases. Brilliant!

Anything else? Well, yes actually. Pooh-poohing those nasty press reports about Kate having wrinkles, the article insists: “In the flesh, she glows - like she’s carved from frozen brandy butter.”

Still, enough of all that. Where does Kate stand on nightwear? “I do like a pyjama,” she reveals. “I wore a pair out as eveningwear in New York once, and there was a massive snowstorm. We couldn’t get a cab, so I had to walk home in them. It was freezing, but they did look good.”

Ah well, I’m off to wander the streets of Penge in my pyjamas now. After all, if it’s good enough for Kate…

Prince does Paris (and so do Kate and Claudia)

It was VIPs a-go-go at yesterday’s Yves Saint Laurent show in Paris - including a surprise appearance by Prince.

Resisting the temptation to wear a raspberry beret (the kind you find in a second-hand store), The Artist Formerly Known As Symbol sported a gold spangled suit, which he claimed to have designed himself.

As you’d expect, the place was also teeming with supermodels. Claudia Schiffer looked positively serene as she glided through the media scrum outside the building…

Meanwhile, Kate Moss brought boyfriend Jamie Hince along, and just about managed to squeeze past the paparazzi without losing her cool…

Kate also had some words of admiration for the fashion pack. “You have to be young to do this,” she told reporters. “I don’t know how editors survive.”

Ah yes - as you go about your business in hospitals, schools, offices, shops and factories today, do heed Kate’s wise words and spare a thought for the people who have to sit round looking at fancy clothes all week.

Which one’s the waxwork?

Blimey - it’s impossible to tell them apart, isn’t it?

Those wax-tastic people at Madame Tussauds have just unveiled a new and improved model of Kate Moss as part of a special London Fashion Week display. And just in case your eyesight isn’t quite what it used to be, I should point out that the waxwork is the one on the left in our picture.

However, the new Kate has come in for some criticism from those laugh-a-minute funsters at the Daily Mail, who sneer: “With flawless skin and a youthful complexion, the figure looks a far cry from the spotty face and wrinkles the model has been pictured sporting lately”.

Either way, it looks like the Madame Tussauds make-up team were still putting the finishing touches to the model yesterday…

But that’s not all, folks! As you can see, the display also includes an on-loan waxwork of US supermodel Tyra Banks.

“Tyra’s guest appearance ups the glam factor even more, and visitors will be able to imagine they are working the catwalk themselves when they meet the Madame Tussauds stylist and can get up close and pose alongside two of the world’s most famous models,” gushes PR manager Liz Edwards.

Hmmm… I think I’d prefer to have my picture taken next to a waxwork of Danny DeVito. How about you?

GQ Men of the Year upstaged by women

Heavens to Betsy! It sounds like last night’s GQ Men of the Year Awards was very eventful indeed - with plenty of eye-popping fashion and a smattering of hissy-fits. Marvellous!

First up, Kelly Brook opted for a figure-hugging frock - which, she was more than happy to announce, was made entirely from rubber. “It took a lot of talcum powder to get me into it,” she purred.

Not to be outdone, Lily Allen sported impressive hair extensions together with a sheer flared trouser-suit…

Several tabloids have branded Lily’s outfit a fashion faux pas - but, for what it’s worth, I think she looks gorgeous. Still, what would I know?

Lily picked up the gong for Woman of the Year - but her red-carpet moment was overshadowed when her old mate Kate Moss stormed past, announcing she was “going home and never coming here again” (with a few choice expletives thrown in).

The problem? Nobody’s really sure - but apparently, Kate may have taken offence to something host James Nesbitt said about her on stage. Ah, get over yourself, love!

Anyway, here’s Kate beating a hasty retreat to her car - together with boyfriend Jamie Hince and one-man entourage, hairdresser James Brown…

Meanwhile, back on the red carpet, X Factor superstar Alexandra Burke turned a few heads by sporting a new hairdo and this Union Jack-inspired minidress…

Still, GQ’s International Man of the Year Mickey Rourke only had eyes for his “plus one” - who’s so far known only to the tabloids as “a stunning blonde”…

Other winners included Guy Ritchie (hurrah!) for Alfred Dunhill Film-Maker, Elvis Costello (woo-hoo!) for Outstanding Achievement, and Shadow Chancellor George Osborne (oh!) for Politician.

Ooh-la-la! Kate Moss comes over all super-sexy in a new ad for Yves Saint Laurent’s Parisienne perfume.

Basically, our Kate caresses a rose on the back seat of a car while either fantasising about - or reliving - a romp with a mystery man. Oh, and there’s a Depeche Mode song playing in the background.

Ah yes, it sounds just like the average early ‘90s minicab ride around Croydon, doesn’t it?

Kate Moss is hair today!

Ah, that’s nice. Kate Moss took time out from her busy modelling-and-clothes-designing schedule to be guest of honour at the opening of close friend James Brown’s new London hair salon yesterday.

But Kate wasn’t the only familiar face at the launch party. James had invited plenty of other high-profile mates along - so presumably he does their hair, too.

Some examples? Well, perfectly coiffed TV presenter Claudia Winkleman showed up…

 

…as did former Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost…

 

Hmmm… I wonder if she made an appointment to get her roots done while she was there.

Retired boxer/reality TV regular/prize berk Chris Eubank also put in an appearance…

 

Rumour has it he always visits James’s salon to get his head polished.

And I wonder if James is also responsible for fashion designer Pam Hogg’s bright yellow ‘do…

 

Other guests at the launch included Primrose Hill princess Sadie Frost, party-girl-turned-wallpaper-designer Meg Mathews and him-out-of-The-Clash Mick Jones. Not a bad turnout for a Wednesday night, eh?

Night of 1,000 frock shocks

Oh my eyes! Last night saw the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala - the annual dressing-up party for celebrities - in New York. And the stars certainly didn't disappoint.

Among the most notable outfits? Our very own Kate Moss turned up in an off-the-shoulder metallic dress by her old mate Marc Jacobs, accessorised with matching metallic turban by top milliner Stephen Jones.

Yes, yes, I hear you cry, but what did Victoria Beckham wear?

 

Well, as you no doubt spotted immediately from the picture above, Mrs B opted for another Marc Jacobs creation - but decided to give the matching turban a miss.

Meanwhile, Madonna wore this...

 

Apparently, most of the outfit is by Louis Vuitton - but nobody seems too sure where the gravity-defying hairpiece is from. Hmmm... maybe it was specially designed to pick up radio signals from Malawi so she could find out how her adoption appeal was progressing.

In other news, Rihanna embraced the '80s revival with humungous shoulder pads that would put Lady GaGa's recent efforts to shame...

 

The entire outfit - including puff-sleeve suit, white ruffle shirt and black bow tie - is by Dolce & Gabbana, fact fans.

Oh, and here are Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel looking ever-so-slightly awkward together...

 

Justin was co-hosting the event - along with Kate Moss and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

And finally, my nod for the most bizarre outfit of the night goes to Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester...

Oooh - look! Hot on the heels of Agyness Deyn and co's human pyramid comes Kate Moss and her friends doing a star-studded conga. Where will it ever end?

Hairdresser-to-the-stars James Brown led the way as Kate and everyone's best mate David Walliams left London's swanky Nobu Berkeley restaurant last night.

The occasion? A launch party for a new range of diamond jewellery, designed by another of Kate's friends, Shaun Leane. (The country may be in the midst of deep recession but, hey, we'll always need diamonds.)

Still, all eyes were on Kate's Star Trek-inspired silver minidress with its humungous shoulder pads...

 

Impressive, eh?

Other celebrities who turned up to eye up the sparklers included Jo Wood, Erin O'Connor and a 'tache-tastic Rhys Ifans...

Kate (and Uncle Phil) take Manhattan

After several long delays and a whole barrel-load of hype, New York's first-ever branch of Topshop finally threw open its doors yesterday.

And doing the honours at the opening ceremony? It was, of course, Croydon's finest export Kate Moss, together with the store's increasingly high-profile owner Sir Philip Green.

As you can see, Kate wore a long flowing green frock, leather jacket and statement earrings for the occasion - while Sir Phil went for the "laid-back uncle at a wedding reception" look (not available in Topshop).

Now, is it just me or does the grand unveiling of the store look ever-so-slightly naff? First, the shop's shutters were lifted to reveal the grinning pair standing on a podium...

 

Then they were showered with red, white and blue confetti...

 

...before going for a little meet-and-greet on the pavement outside...

 

Hmmm... it's not exactly the cutting edge of Cool Britannia, is it? Still, the shop itself is pretty cool: it boasts 200 staff, 32 changing rooms, a DJ booth and a shoe lounge.

"We're going to be very fashion-led here," a proud Sir Phil told reporters. "We hang a $500 dress 30ft away from two-for-$18 T-shirts. It's different."

Well, it's not that different, is it Phil? But good luck, all the same...

You can take the girl out of Croydon - but you can't take Croydon out of the girl.

Here's Kate Moss stopping for a fag break in the middle of a fancy fashion shoot in Paris's Place de la Concorde yesterday afternoon.

 

Poor Kate also had a spot of bother when her dress slipped down to reveal more than she intended while she was clambering around on a statue.

 

But luckily, there was a handy little man on call to adjust her outfit whenever necessary.

 

Nice work if you can get it, eh?

Marianne accuses Kate Moss of theft

With their similar taste in pop star boyfriends and, er, other leisure activities, it's little surprise that 60s rock chick Marianne Faithfull and 21st-century icon Kate Moss crossed the generation gap to become good buddies.

However, the good times have clearly come to an end, with Marianne launching a bitter broadside at her former friend and calling Mossy  a “vampire” for the way she has absorbed her style.

The 62-year-old singer and actress, who was Mick Jagger's squeeze in the late 60s, before falling into drug addiction and homelessness, said, “She's not really my friend. I thought she was, but she's very clever.”

She continued, “She wanted to read me like a Braille book. And she did. It's a vampirical thing. Now I see pictures of her with a  boy who looks like Mick Jagger, and her looking like me. It's one of her gigs to do me.”

In happier days, the fashionable pair once went on holiday together to the Bahamas.  They would regularly hit the town together, and Marianne even spent one Christmas with Kate's folks.

But nothing lasts forever, and the relationship “suddenly soured”, according to Marianne.

Ironically, Kate had a similar barney with Sienna Miller at a wedding reception a couple of years ago, when she accused the actress of stealing her style and muscling in on her friends and lifestyle. Fortunately, Sadie Frost was on hand to calm things down.

Is Marianne Faithfull right to be angry? Or is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? Should we all start wearing willy necklaces? Let us know what you think.

Here's the hardest working supermodel in showbiz Kate Moss filming a Comic Relief sketch with comedian Katy Brand in London yesterday.

And doesn't our Kate look smart with her perfect make-up, sleek hair, sexy office gear... and fertility charm?

 

Presumably the willy necklace is an integral part of the sketch. But now Kate's worn one, I wouldn't be surprised if Topshop started selling similar charms very soon.

Mark my words: this time next week, everyone will be wearing them...

Go easy on the bootee-knitting, folks! Following last week’s frenzied pregnancy rumours, Kate Moss has insisted she’s not expecting a baby - she’s just put on a few extra pounds.

What’s more, the super-supermodel is delighted with her weight gain because it means she can now “fill a B-cup”.

“I am a woman now - it’s true!” Kate gushed in an interview with New York magazine. “Honestly, I’ve never worn a bra in my life. Ever! It’s so awful. Even my friends are phoning me up and saying, ‘Are you pregnant?’

"And I’m like, ‘No - I just put on a couple of pounds and they went in the right place.’ Isn’t that weird?” Yeah - spooooooky!

Meanwhile, Kate also has a few sharp words for Hollywood royalty Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. The reason? The pair apparently pushed in front of her in the queue at last year’s Met Ball in New York.

“Tom and Katie just walked right up to the front, and we were like, ‘Who the f*** are they?’” Kate sniffs. “They’re not even in fashion!” Me-ow!

Here’s Kate Moss leaving The Ivy after having dinner with her multi-millionaire mate, Topshop boss Sir Phillip Green.

Now, this picture has caused much tongue-wagging among seasoned celebrity-watchers. The reason? There’s a slight bulge around Kate’s midriff, which could be a baby bump.

But then again, it could also be down to the cut of the outfit. Or maybe it’s just a touch of wind after a hearty meal. What do you think?

Kate Moss is the UK’s most copied female fashion icon, according to a new poll of 3,000 women carried out by www.theragtrader.com.

Yep, despite Victoria Beckham’s best efforts to stake her claim as our favourite fashionista, it seems more of us try to dress like Kate. But maybe that’s partly because most of us splash out in Topshop from time to time - but not many of us can afford to shell out for Posh’s megabucks frocks.

Mind you, Mrs B still managed second place in the poll - closely followed by Cheryl Cole, Sienna Miller and Kylie Minogue.

Meanwhile, international footballer and designer pants model David Beckham topped the list of most copied male icons, beating off stiff competition from Justin Timberlake, Brad Pitt, Russell Brand and Daniel Craig.

Anyway, here's Kate Moss, apparently midway through telling a joke in the style of Tommy Cooper during a night out with her mates in London's Westbourne Grove. Yep - just like that!

Now, you could be forgiven for becoming sidetracked by Kate's rather in-your-face slogan T-shirt. "Naked Pictures" indeed! Tsk - what utter filth! Still, it's by Marc Jacobs, you know...

But look a little closer - and you may notice that Kate's also wearing what looks suspiciously like a brand new engagement ring...

Oooh - could the celebrity wedding of the decade be just around the corner?

Christina set for Topshop

Budge up, Kate Moss! Topshop owner Sir Philip Green looks set to up the in-store glamour quota – by tempting Christina Aguilera with a megabucks proposal to design new ranges for his fashion empire.

“Sir Philip has started talks with Christina and hopes to sign a deal soon,” a source told the Sunday Mirror.

“She has visited his offices in London and they're thrashing out the details. Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to Topshop.”

The singer's collection would be sold alongside Ms Moss's super-successful range. “Christina is the blonde bombshell, whereas Kate is the rock chick and model,” explains the insider.

Anything to declare, Kate?

As any celebrity gossip-merchant worth their salt knows, you can't just say: "Here's a picture of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince walking through Heathrow airport." You've got to have a story to go with it.

So take a look at these latest pics of the tabloids' favourite supermodel - and see if you can guess what the "story" is.

Well, according to some sections of the press, the above picture adds weight to rumours Kate may be pregnant. The reason? She's carrying a blanket, which is partly obscuring her tummy.

"I know it's cold outside but that seems a bit extreme, unless she's got a growing baby bump to hide," writes Gordon Smart in The Sun. Er... she was just about to get on a long-haul flight to Los Angeles, you berk!

Meanwhile, those lovely people at the Daily Mail have decided Kate's showing her age. Their verdict? "The notoriously hard partying model looked washed-out, wrinkled and every inch her 34 years."

Heavens to Betsy! Was there a special offer on cut-and-blow-dries in Supacuts this week?

Hot on the heels of Victoria Beckham's new "Vixie cut" and Agyness Deyn's shocking helmet hair, it seems our very own Kate Moss has gone for the chop, too.

Super-Kate was spotted with the new 'do while out partying at London's Punk with boyfriend Jamie Hince last night.

It's nothing too radical - just a few inches off the ends. For now I'll call it a "shoulder-length scraggly bob" - but I'm sure you can come up with a better name... Any ideas?

Kate's kiss is just a kiss with Frank

We all know Kate Moss has a bit of a thing for musical types, but the model has revealed she once stole a kiss from the king of the swingers himself, Frank Sinatra, at his 80th birthday party.

"There was still a twinkle in his blue eyes," she reminisced, adding, for some reason, "Yeah, major."

Although Kate was then a young and impressionable 21, she didn't end up running off with the singer, possibly because a) he was 80 and married and b) she was seeing Johnny Depp at the time.

"I was sitting down having a cigarette and he made a beeline to me," she went on. "He got his security to close in so Johnny couldn't get to me. So we were encircled and he's like, 'How are you doing, little lady?' And I said, 'Happy birthday, Frank,' and he just lunged for me."

Yikes! What then? "He kissed me on the lips, then gave me a filterless cigarette. I came off all lightheaded. He was fabulous."

And a free cigarette too!

Leona's top of the shops

Move over, Kate Moss. The nicest woman in showbiz Leona Lewis is apparently set to have talks with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green about launching her own fashion range for the store.

"Philip and Leona have a dinner booked in later this month," an insider tells The Sun. "He knows she is emerging into one of the world's top pop stars and wants to discuss her doing her own Topshop range.

"She's a beautiful girl and a huge star, but also has a great girl-next-door quality that means her style will appeal to a lot of young women. Leona is really excited."

So which celebrity's dress sense do you most admire? Kate's? Leona's? Or somebody else's entirely?

Panic's over, folks! It looks like Kate Moss and Jamie Hince are well and truly back together after their rumoured lovers' tiff two weeks ago.

The couple were reunited in a London pub yesterday afternoon before heading off to Selfridges for the mother of all shopping sprees. And don't they make a delightful sight with matching cigarettes hanging out their mouths?

According to celebrity rumour-mongers, Kate and Jamie originally fell out because she was jealous of the attention he receives from other women. "He won't be a doormat and give her the constant reassurance she wants," an insider tells the Daily Mail.

Still, it seems like everything's hunky-dory again now. So does that mean the wedding's back on, too?

Kate left holding the baby

So what's going on here then? Kate Moss and her fiancé Jamie Hince had only popped out for a pint of milk and a white sliced loaf the other day, when they were approached by an excitable couple with a baby.

Eager-to-please Kate and Jamie were only too happy to pose with the cute-looking baby - and embarrassed-looking dad - while the mum took a snap of them outside the shop.

And - surprise, surprise - the pics of the tabloid-friendly supermodel cuddling up to the baby have sparked rumours she wants another child of her own. "Kate couldn't stop smiling and kept telling Jamie how cute the baby was," one eyewitness told the press. "It looked as if she didn't want to give it back."

Hmmm... I think the rumour-mongers could be getting a bit ahead of themselves here, don't you?

Kate steals the show

Congratulations to rock royalty Leah Wood, who tied the knot with TV producer Jack McDonald at London's Southwark Cathedral on Saturday. And doesn't she look gorgeous?

But funnily enough, the crowds of paparazzi outside the star-studded service weren't just there to catch a glimpse of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood's daughter in her wedding gown. Family friend Kate Moss temporarily stole the show by arriving fashionably late and looking stunning in a shimmering grey gown and sparkling blue shawl.

Meanwhile, Ronnie's bandmate Keith Richards managed to steer attention away from both Leah and Kate by sporting a slightly odd green bandana.

Hmmm - maybe his head still hurts from the time he fell out of that palm tree...

Oh dear - don't you just hate it when your hair extensions fall out in front of a great big bunch of paparazzi?

That's what happened to Kate Moss in the early hours of this morning - as she returned to her hotel following a day of tireless publicity work (and partying) to promote her new fragrance, Velvet Hour, in Berlin.

Still, as you can see, Kate's loss was one photographer's gain. What's the betting her blonde locks turn up on eBay later today?

Here's Kate Moss hotfooting it from a big night out at London club Punk. And if you look very closely at this picture, you should be able to spot her rumoured fiancé Jamie Hince in the background. But, hey, who cares about him?

Mind you, is it just me or has Kate been looking back to her beautiful best since she split from Pete Doherty and started dating Jamie? Her skin's gorgeous, her hair's shiny and her body looks ever-so-slightly more shapely and toned than usual. Just a thought...

However, you may be a little surprised to note that the usually sullen, serious-looking supermodel was smiling and laughing in front of the cameras.

Can anyone else discern the beginnings of a baby bump in this picture of Kate Moss? Nope, me neither.

However, certain US celebrity-watchers have worked themselves into a mild frenzy because, from some angles, it looks like Kate's stomach may have been ever-so-slightly more rounded than usual during a weekend trip to the US.

So is it water retention? Wind? Twins? What do you think?

How did you spend your Monday afternoon? Kate Moss took her super-cute daughter Lila Grace to Universal Studios Hollywood, where the ever-present paparazzi snapped them getting a good soaking on the Jurassic Park ride.

So now we know Kate still looks stunning when she's sporting a shapeless yellow rain mac. And you know what? This time next week, everyone will be wearing them...

Ah, just look at this black shorts, white vest and no bra combo. It's no wonder Kate Moss has been voted best-dressed woman of 2008 by the clued-up fashionistas at Glamour magazine.

This latest accolade is being touted as a marvellous comeback for Kate, who - having occupied the No.1 spot for three consecutive years - suffered the gross indignity of being beaten into second place by Kylie Minogue in last year's poll.

"Kate's back with a vengeance," gushes the magazine's editor Jo Elvin. "Her maverick approach to fashion is an inspiration." Yeah, yeah, whatever...

Still, no prizes for guessing who topped the poll for worst-dressed celebrity. Yep, it was poor old Britney Spears, whose signature style of stained and/or see-through separates worn with silly hats is yet to catch on in fashion circles.

But is Kate's look really that amazing? And does Britney deserve to be singled out for dressing badly? Tell us what you think.

Everybody needs Moss neighbours

We may think of her as a hard-drinking, rock star-bonking party girl, but it seems Kate Moss is both a good neighbour and a good friend. When she's not busy raising money to rebuild Camden celeb hang-out The Hawley Arms, which burnt down in a fire at the weekend, the socially-aware supermodel is fighting crime in her 'hood.

Well, she's not. But residents say that, thanks to an increased police presence, and an ever-swarming crowd of paparazzi, crime in the neighbourhood has dropped. Although, it has to be said, with its multi-million pound detached houses and chi-chi boutiques and restaurants, super-posh St John's Wood ain't exactly Compton.

Still...who wouldn't want Kate as a neighbour, eh? Hey, where'd you all go!

Kate slammed by UN

Uh-oh! As Kate Moss recovers after another weekend of hard partying (well, it was Davinia Taylor's 30th birthday), she could do well to ponder the words of Antonio Costa.

Not to be confused with the bloke from Blue, Antonio is head of the United Nations' office on drugs and crimes - and he's singled out the supermodel for "glamorising" the use of cocaine.

"Look at Kate Moss who still receives lucrative contracts after she was photographed sniffing," he says. "A sniff here and a sniff there in Europe are causing another disaster in Africa, to add to its poverty, its mass unemployment and its pandemics."

But is Antonio right to single out Kate in this way? After all, she did go straight to rehab after her alleged cocaine use was revealed in 2005 - and she reportedly did all she could to get ex-lover Pete Doherty off drugs, too. Post your comments below.

Kate joins the bang gang

Guess who's the talk of the tabloids today (besides Jonny Wilkinson and that old fella who's stepped down as leader of the Lib Dems, I mean)? It's Kate Moss. The reason? Well, as you can see from our top action shot, she's been spotted sporting "the hottest new Hollywood hairstyle", as the Daily Mirror so eloquently puts it.

Yep, apparently, the "bang" - known to us Brits as a "fringe" - is the latest hair trend to cross the Atlantic and "send women of all ages rushing to the salon." Excuse me? I've had a fringe since Kate still lived in Croydon: in fact, I may well have walked past her in the Whitgift Centre in 1981. I bet she first got the idea from me.

However, not everyone loves Kate's new 'do. The Sun's gossip columnist Victoria Newton compares the supermodel's barnet to a "haystack" - and suggests her style guru may well have been Worzel Gummidge. Personally, we're not so sure.
