Jordan wins libel battle

Congratulations to Jordan and Peter Andre, who yesterday accepted "substantial damages" over a News of the World article portraying them as bad parents.

The Sunday tabloid has now retracted all comments made in the story, which was published in February.

Following the hearing, Jordan read out a prepared statement on the steps of the High Court. "Pete and I love our kids and would do anything for them," she told the assembled throng. "We came here today to see that justice was done and that our names were cleared."

Now, here's another blossoming unlikely friendship... Prolific glamourpuss Jordan cuddled up to former athlete Lord Sebastian Coe during the prize-giving ceremony at a charity polo match yesterday afternoon.

Jordan was among the celebrities who helped raise £35,000 for injured riders at the West Sussex event. According to eyewitnesses, she looked a "natural" in the saddle - and also took charge of opening the post-match champagne. That's our girl!

Move over Zara - here's Jordan!

It's now time for a confession: I am completely and utterly in awe of Jordan. The reason? Over recent years, the erstwhile glamour girl has proved she can turn her hand to just about anything.

And yes, I know she doesn't write her own books, her singing is terrifying and her interviewing skills leave a little to be desired. But when it comes to riding horses, there's no denying her talent.

Yesterday saw Jordan compete in her first dressage tournament on her horse, Glamour Girl, at Hickstead. The debutante scored an impressive 153 out of 240, which meant she came sixth out of 27 competitors. So those dreams of competing in the 2012 Olympics may well come true...

Husband Peter Andre missed Jordan's big moment - but was on hand to congratulate her later.

Hmmm... If only Ms Price had been picked for the England team, we may yet have made it to the Euro 2008 finals. What's next for our Jords, d'you suppose?

Where's Jordan off to?

Eek - what's going on here then? Author/mother/rocket scientist Jordan was spotted clambering into a van full of men outside London's Nobu Berkeley on Saturday night.

But don't worry. One of the men was her husband Peter Andre - and the other two were The Friday Sunday Night Project's Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr, who clearly only have eyes for one another.

During an interview with Justin and Alan, aired on TV last night, Jordan and Peter gave us yet another fascinating insight into their sex life (stop yawning at the back there, please).

"When I have a drink, I turn into Jordan," said... erm... Jordan. "When I'm Jordan, my legs are quarter to three, but when I'm Katie my legs are five past one." What a delightful image, eh?

Jordan heading for Olympics?

We know Jordan is full of ambition. She has her own perfume and underwear range and is always dreaming of the next opportunity.

Well, it now seems she's got a bit carried away, as the model says she wants to compete in the Olympics.
Her hubby, Peter, has bought her a "top quality" horse for her 30th birthday, which she celebrates today. The horse, called Dana, reportedly has potential to do well in major events.

We know when Jordan, sorry, Katie Price, has her mind set on a goal she's like a dog with a bone.
She now plans intensive training to fulfil her ambition of winning dressage competitions and maybe go all the way to the Olympics.

According to The Sun, a friend says: "Katie loves training and riding her horses but wants to take it a step further. It’s her dream to compete in a dressage competition at the Olympics."

A source adds: "Dana shows a lot of promise. This horse could take Jordan all the way." (You have to love that quote.)

Us girls all had My Little Ponies when we were growing up and dreamed one day of owning our own. It seems the dream came true for the mother of three, who owns several horses and rides them around her 30 acres of land at her home in Surrey.

“I love horses,” she says. “I started riding when I was seven and have kept horses ever since.” Lucky girl!

By the way - a big Happy Birthday to one of our favourite celebs.

Is Jordan too skinny?

Uh-oh! Jordan is very angry. The reason? She's fed up with the sudden spate of stories in UK tabloids, expressing concerns about how thin she's been looking during her current trip to Los Angeles.

"I may look skinny - but if you bring the sunshine to England, I'll wear skimpy clothes," she ranted during a chat with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. "It's not my fault we never gets a glimpse of sun at home. I eat like a pig, so you can write what you like. I have no health scares."

Meanwhile, Jordan's "people" told the Daily Star: "Because of her teeth veneers, she's not been able to eat big meals. But there's no issue with weight loss. She'll be back on the steak in no time."

Still, Jordan does look incredibly skinny at the moment. So were the tabloids right to raise concerns? Tell us what you think.

Now, I was going to do the unthinkable and leave Jordan and Peter Andre alone today. After all, you can have too much of a good thing, can't you?

But how could I ignore the latest picture of them in Los Angeles when there's so much to say about it? For starters, you'll notice Peter's bleached his hair again - and one person who approves whole-heartedly of the new 'do is celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. The reason? He thinks it makes Pete look like David Beckham. Ah, Victoria will be pleased.

And then there's Jordan's delightful outfit. You'll notice she'd changed out of that leopard-print-catsuit-thingy she wore to the supermarket earlier in the day.

So where were they going? "I'm off to see the boob doctor," Jordan told the paparazzi. And what did the "boob doctor" say? "He said she had 'nice t**s,'" Peter revealed afterwards. Classy!

Here are Jordan and Peter Andre giving one another an impromptu peck during a lunch in Hollywood yesterday afternoon. See? They only have eyes for one another - even when the paparazzi are lurking in the bushes.

Of course, some cynical types might suggest the pair were only posing for the cameras - but if they knew they were being photographed, why the hell would Jordan do this?

Anyway, there's been non-stop excitement for the couple ever since they touched down in Los Angeles on Friday - although not everyone in Tinseltown can quite work out what all the fuss is about. "I really don't understand this family or why they're famous," writes one high-profile celebrity blogger. "Maybe it's a British thing?"

The not-so-little mermaid

Jordan dressed up as a mermaid yesterday afternoon.

The occasion? The UK's most prolific writer/TV star/nuclear scientist was signing copies of her new series of children's books, Mermaids and Pirates - which chart the thrill-a-minute adventures of Katie the Mermaid and Peter the Pirate.

When Jordan met JK

It was the British Book Awards in London last night. All the greats were there: Jordan, Abi Titmuss, Geri Halliwell... Oh yeah, and JK Rowling who appeared to be falling out of her dress with excitement at being in the presence of such luminaries of the literary world.

Talking of which, I've just spent a good 20 minutes staring at our photograph of JK and I still can't work out where that extra arm has come from. Still, who'd have guessed Ms Rowling's cleavage would cause more fuss than Jordan's?

Anyway, just like the owner of that mystery arm, JK didn't go home empty-handed: she picked up a lifetime achievement award. Jordan, meanwhile, was pipped at the post in the Children's Book of the Year category. Her self-penned (ahem!) My Pony Care Book was beaten by Francesca Simon's Horrid Henry and the Abominable Snowman.

Never mind, Jordan - there's always next year's Booker Prize...

Jordan: We bicker about little things

I always thought Peter Andre and Jordan were love's young dream but the model says she doesn't know what keeps them together - charming!

She says the pair are like many other married couples and bicker about the little things.

She told The Sun: "The main thing that annoys me about Pete is he goes on and on. It takes him ages to explain anything so I just cut in and finish the story for him.

"I'm not sure what keeps us together, I think he just likes my moaning - he must do! We fight about little things. Not 'I'll divorce you' arguments, just silly things."

Jordan, who plans to renew her wedding vows with Peter later this year, is also planning another party - her 30th. She says the bash will be bigger and more extravagant than her wedding - surely that's not possible.

She added: "It won't be exactly like the wedding but it'll still be huge. It's got a theme but I can't tell you what it is! Only I can get away with it, put it that way - very over-the-top."

We wouldn't expect anything less.

Another baby for Jordan?

She may be one of the hardest-working women in showbiz - but model/author/TV presenter/nuclear scientist Jordan still plans to add another child to her growing brood.

"I would definitely love to adopt a child," she says. "A disabled child from this country, I think. I would love to adopt any child of course, but disabled children need a home, too, and I know how to deal with the situation because of Harvey. And Peter agrees as well because we've already spoken about it."

The 29-year-old was in Edinburgh yesterday to sign copies of the third volume of her autobiography. And after last week's "wardrobe malfunction" - in which shoppers at a London branch of Waterstone's were momentarily treated to the sight of her left nipple - Jordan played it safe in a cover-all black jumper.

The only problem? Well, as you can see from our picture, Jordan's oh-so-sensible white bra was clearly visible beneath her sweater - leading to tabloid accusations that her dress sense has become "dowdy" and "boring" overnight. She can't win, can she?

Heather Mills: celebrity mum of the year?

Although Heather Mills is busy in the messiest divorce battle of all time at the moment, she’s also one of 15 famous mothers nominated for the 2008 Celebrity Mum of the Year award.

Presumably the benevolent souls who put the former Mrs McCartney forward see her high-profile court clash as a brave fight on behalf of her four-year-old daughter Beatrice.

Elsewhere, it’s the Spice Girls v Hear’Say, with all the Spices apart from Mel C nominated (and we’re sure she would be if she was, well, a mother) and all three of the one-time Hear’Say girls fighting it out.

Jordan hates her new boobs

Oh dear! Glamour girl Jordan has spoken out for the first time about her recent cosmetic surgery - and she's not happy. The problem? Her boobs are still too big. "I'm really disappointed," she tells OK! magazine. "In fact I'm going back to the States to get them redone."

But what are you going to do with the old implants, Jords? "I'm still going to sell them for £1m, 10% to charity," she says, perhaps a tad optimistically. "When people come round, I'm like: 'Look at these,' and I throw them on the table. All my friends have put them in their bras to see what they feel like." Gosh - that must make the long winter evenings just fly by, mustn't it?

Look who's in the audience!

Canadian warbler Celine Dion is currently enjoying her first trip to the UK in - oooh! - years. And by all accounts, she's loving every minute. Not only did she get to meet Simon Cowell and the gang when she mentored the X Factor contestants for Saturday night's show - but she's also come face to face with such illustrious stars as Jordan and Peter Andre, Antony Cotton, Brian McFadden, Gloria Hunniford and, erm, Nicholas Parsons. (Come on - you must remember Nicholas. He used to host Sale of the Century in the '70s. What do you mean you weren't born then?)

The occasion? Celine was recording one of those An Audience With... ITV specials in London last night. In between singing her hits, she fielded questions from the assembled celebrities - all the while pretending she knew exactly who they all were. We can only imagine what Jordan asked her...

Is it just me or are these gatherings a bit daft? We know Celine couldn't give a monkey's about our home-grown celebs - and I've a sneaky suspicion that half of them couldn't name any of her hits beyond "that one from Titanic" either... Wouldn't it be better if real Celine Dion fans got to go to a free concert and quiz their idol, while Jordan and co had a rare night in?
