Would you pay £50 to see Kerry?
Posted by Jane Murphy
Want to know the latest Kerry Katona rumour that’s popped up in the tabloids? Of course you do! Er… don’t you?
According to those lovely people at the News of the World, the under-fire reality TV star has agreed to carry out personal appearances in pubs and clubs for a fee of just £50.
Now, before you start organising a whip-round to lure Ms Katona to your local boozer at the earliest possible opportunity, I should just mention that Kerry’s “people” have denied the claims.
However, a mysterious source tells the tabloid that Kezza’s husband - that old charmer Mark Croft - is the “brains” behind the plans.
“Mark has persuaded her that doing personal appearances is a good way to make some money and raise her profile again,” says the insider.
“He’s also been speaking to nightclub owners in Cheshire, to get them to do Kerry Katona nights. He knows Kerry’s celebrity status and car crash life make her lucrative.”
So would you hot-foot it to a pub or club if there was a chance of seeing Kerry in the flesh? Or would you pay money not to bump into her? Tell us here.

Shouldn't like her but I do, I think the cruelty shown to her is pretty much over the top - I couldn't take the amount of abuse she does although I agree these people put themselves up for it a lot of the time, it's seems just a bit too much hatred for someone who is already down. She is an easy target to bully and I won't buy into that. Would I pay £50? Couldn't, too much money.

Barry, it's nice to know there are still some humane and decent people around. You're right, mob mentality is rife in todays' society.
All this Kerry bashing is basically another form of bullying and it sickens me to see those who are the most vunerable being picked on. It's narrow-minded thuggery like this which recently lead to a mother taking her life and the life of her disabled child, after years of taunting and harrassment by local bullies. Cowardly, despicable excuses for human beings! Only gaining happiness and a sense of worth through the pain and suffering of others. Karma awaits...

When working out my finances for the month ahead, I always set aside £50 on the offchance that I might get chance to get a glimpse of a has been pop singer with drink and drug problems. Doesn't everyone else do the same ?

I would do all I could to help Kerry. But not if that "waster" is around to grab it. She was never in this trouble when she was on her own, so it seems ominous that as soon as she got caught up with "Arfur Daley"
she has had nothing but illness and other troubles. For your own sanity Kerry, get him out of your life.

Well said Damien, there but for the grace of god etc etc.
This poor woman is a victim of a society which we are all responsible for creating, so why as a nation are we all to ready to judge others and kick someone when they're down ?
One can only hope she realises she's a victim, and ultimately seeks the right help and support.

Kerry has had a very troubled and abusive childhood and the effects have obviously carried through to adulthood. She's made lots of poor choices on a relationship level and also made many mistakes.
However, it's all too easy for people that have had the good fortune of having a stable, loving childhood to knock her. The fact that she ever managed to make anything of herself is remarkable! Give her a break! Not many people can endure that sort of thing without turning to drugs or alcohol at some stage unless they have professional support and a loving family or relationship.

I wouldn't pay 50p let alone £50!!

I would rather pay £100 not to have to see her!

You're all so jealous of Kerry and Katie Price for some reason? Look at it this way - they've both been successful, they're both far from perfect (and so is everyone else) but they're both either very rich or been rich - who are the losers now??!!

what a waste of space those two are. Cant believe it took Iceland so long to peddle her for her drug taking antics.Go and get a proper job like the rest of us have to!!

Do me a favour!
Get a proper job like the rest of us!

Posted by: paul | 28 October 2009 at 11:51
Mark 'crafty' Croft YUK!!!
Poor Kerry that 'Celebrity get me out of Here' was the death of her realy it all went downhill after that. The nasty tabloids made sure of that. don't know what to beleive realy poor girl, leave her be!!

What earnings does Mark Croft bring in to the household? I'd pay £50 to see him get a job.
Posted by: lizzie | 28 October 2009 at 11:23
If she could juggle I’d consider spending £50.

So has Mark Croft become her pimp certainly sounds like it. It's time she faded into obscurity and got her life back onto this planet.
Yet another example of another non celebrity, celebrity. It is deplorable that all it takes to be a celebrity is to be a loud mouthed, drunk, drug taking nobody whose prepared to do anything no matter how low to get a picture in the paper.
And these are supposed to be role models for the young people of today, explains a lot about our rapidy degenerating society doesn't it?

Pay to see her??? No thanks! I would pay Social Services to get off their back sides and intervine for the sake of those poor kids....which by the way she keeps popping out to make money! Its disgusting! But thats the price of fame i suppose!
Posted by: Julie | 28 October 2009 at 08:30
Absolutely not. Her and Jordan are disgusting.

I would rather pay £50 to see Kerry again rather than that thing called Amy Winehouse who in my opinion is on one crazy planet .
I met Kerry some years ago and she was so sweet .I would love to see Kerry back on track at least after all she has been through she can still smile sometimes , every time i see a picture of winehouse shes either in the gutter or being helped out of it , she is so ugly and useless i,m sure she will die soon but i have no sympathy for her Kerry is an angel compared to her .
Julia.

I agree with jodi, she's outstayed her welcome, she shouldn't really be famous anymore, Boring

What a sick man, to send a poor demented drug addict wife out on the streets. £50 or more like it 50p, she will have to work hard: Like Jordan now pushing cancer for publicity:

Posted by: sean | 27 October 2009 at 17:37
If I were to win the lottery tonight, I would gladly donate half my fortune if Kery Katona and Jordan were to drop off the face of the planet.
Is this reaslly news? £50 to meet a coke snorting waste of space?
There are REAL news stories out there worthy of column space. This trash isnt.
Posted by: Frugalfifer | 27 October 2009 at 17:19
would i pay £50 to see her? if she was upto her neck in quick sand and stood on top of jordan then i would pay double.
Posted by: sean | 27 October 2009 at 17:02
My god alarm bells should be ringing folks, this man will stop at nothing to bring KK down even further than she is. Isn't there somewhere he can be sent to stop this kind of story getting out, he is a horrible gold-digger who thinks only about himself in the most recent machine on wheels. Horrible horrible man.
Posted by: Betty1403 | 27 October 2009 at 16:50
im sure we have already seen far too much of her - why waste £50!
Posted by: jodi | 27 October 2009 at 15:24
I don't like to make judgements on other peoples' relationships, but it seems to me that Kerry should distance herself from that Mark Croft. How does one justify putting on to a person in that way. I also hope she has learned not to continue to take drugs; at least not being filmed in public snorting Cocaine.
