Katie Price - mum of the year?

At last! There’s some good news for loose-lipped, headline-hogging, horse-loving, ex-bashing, boob-flashing cage-fight groupie Katie Price.

Want to know what it is? The recently divorced glamour-puss has been shortlisted for this year’s Celebrity Mum of the Year award. Katie is, of course, doting mum to reality TV regulars Harvey, seven, Junior, four, and two-year-old Princess.

Mind you, I doubt Ms Price has a hope in hell of winning. After all, she’s up against some strong competition from 19 other high-profile mums, including Samantha Cameron - wife of Tory leader David - who had to cope with the tragic death of their son Ivan earlier this year.

Three Spice Girls also made the list - Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell - but there was no room for mum-of-three Victoria Beckham. Surely some mistake?

Other shortlisted candidates include Tess Daly, Charlotte Church, Myleene Klass, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and last year’s winner Suzanne Shaw.

Not a fan of Katies but I know what its like to bring up a child with a disabilty!! OK she has a nanny so what it does not make her a bad mother, she still has all the same stresses and worries that comes with bringing up a child with disabilites, until your in the same situation you have no right to comment as you have no experience. She needs respite like all of us with children with difficulties, it is not like bringing up children that people class as normal. She will constantly worry how things will be for Harvey when he is an adult and I am sure she will be there for him and her other kids financially and emotionally. She knows she has lost the best thing for her and the kids in the form of Pete and regrets that everyday. Her actions are clearly to try and make him jealous, shes not in love with Alex he is only part of her plan that has went wrong. She is going into the jungle not to get closure but to get away from the mistakes shes made including Alex, she knows hes not interested in her kids hes just acting for the sake of the press, he makes my skin crawl hes just sex and a bit of company till she gets back on her feet then she will kick him out. Despite what people think of her she is definately not stupid!!. Hopefully now she will start to have time to think about how she needs to move on. Get rid of the cling ons get back to the people who are supporting her inc Pete and start to act with a bit of dignity. Katie learn to love yourself get rid of the hard exterior and enjoy your own company with your family. Who are people to judge until they are in your situation you are being the best Mum you can be right now through your hurt Good Luck . Pete will always be their for your kids learn from your past when you meet the next right man. You don't need a man to be a great Mum. How insecure will Alex be now?? Say goodbye to Katie Alex your a gold digger and a bad actor we can all see through you why do you think Katies doing what shes doing certainly not for you anyway.

Actually, apart from both her and her saddo ex having acute personality disorders, I think Katie Price does love her children and they obviously love her. I think she is afraid of showing a sensitive side and wears a mask portraying what she thinks the public expect of her. She has made mistakes, but we all do. Her crime is that she lives her life in the public eye. Her and her cheesy creepy ex, are both poor role models and don't seem to grasp that what they are doing is exploiting their children. Not for love, but for money. What those kids will think when they see re-runs of their lives and their dad behaving in a very sexualised way toward their mum, doesn't bear thinking about.Simulated sexual intercourse, groping her all the time on camera, posing, talkimg about sex constantly. Poor kids, they have got a lot to put up with with those two as parents.Let's hope that love can overcome humiliation when they are teenagers with pathetic, sad, ageing, plastic parents.
