Victoria slams the skinny-bashers
Posted by Jane Murphy
Yes, I know this blog has been just a teeny-weeny bit obsessed with Victoria Beckham this week - but if she will keep wearing different frocks and issuing pithy soundbites, what am I supposed to do?
The latest? After her whistle-stop visit to London Fashion Week, Victoria flew “home” to Los Angeles yesterday evening - sporting a Dolce & Gabbana spider-web dress, fact fans.
But before she left, Mrs B did take time to hit out at rumours she’s been starving herself in order to stay super-skinny.
“I am fine - happy and healthy,” Posh told the Daily Mirror. “It’s irresponsible when people obsess about my shape and size. I appreciate there are young girls and women who look to me as a role model, and it’s simply untrue to say I don’t eat and I am unhealthy.
“I have a healthy diet, a healthy lifestyle and plenty of energy to run after my three energetic boys and travel the world managing my fashion business.”
Hmmm… I reckon she does have a point about it being irresponsible to obsess over celebrities’ body shapes.
Personally, I try not to take any notice - although on those rare occasions when somebody‘s bones are practically sticking out and they look ready to snap in two, it‘s hard not to feel a tad concerned.

She is just a smarmy miserable attention seeker.
Flouting her money but she is still as common as muck.

If Mrs B ever got fat, it would be the front page news of every paper. She must be used to eatting small amounts and she has'nt collasped yet, so lets never talk of her been stick thin ever again, its sooooo boring.

I recently went to a huge fashion show and the thin girls wearing wedding gowns looked pathetic!!! The one and only 'normal' sized girl looked fabulous. I design gowns and do many shows and I WILL NOT have any one who I consider to be too thin (under size 8) wearing one of my gowns. STOP printing these women looking so thin and disgusting, its no wonder girls develope eating problems!

Stars that lie about what they eat and their lifestyle are far worse than women that are just size zero. Vicky is a terrible role model for our children and shouldn't receive media attention. She hasn't always been this skinny remember when the spice girls first caused damage to our hearing, she was a normal size then.

People who pay any attention to celebrities must have something wrong with their own lives.
Who cares about VB, just ignore her and allow her to live life the way she wants.
If you all do that she'll desapear into total oblivion.
Pure bliss.

Whilst i do think that she could look better if she was a size bigger, and I thought she looked great in her spice girls hey day. She is probably about right by saying that she's healthy. Whatever it is that she is running on it must be keeping her going in the right way, given her size you would have expected her to have made headlines by collapsing or notbeingabletohavethethreeveryhealthychildrenshehas.

Last time I seen legs like hers they were keeping a stork’s backside dry! When will editorial magazines realise that emaciated models look absolutely awful!

Unfortunately for Mrs B she is a role model and my 11yr old wants to be like her. It is not a healthy image to have your bones sticking out through your skin, its not actractive in any way, shape or form! Please please PLEASE, for the sake of our healthy children can we not publish pictures of the stick thin "stars" and show off some of our more healthy looking ones?!?

she's been skinny for years. don't you think if she wasn't eating properly she'd have collapsed and/or died by now? celebs can't win, cos they're either 'too fat' or 'too skinny' in the eyes of the stupid press, do you think we actually care?! most of us have to worry about our own lives, without having to read about celebs weight issues. leave them all alone. apart from jordan and kerry katona, they deserve the stick, lol!
