Corrie’s finest glam up for awards launch

While most of us were slumped in front of the double helping of Coronation Street last night, some of Corrie’s biggest stars were getting their gladrags on for the launch of this year’s Inside Soap Awards.
Mind you, the glitzy event was taking place just along the corridor in Granada Studios - so they didn’t have very far to go. And it saved them having to make their own tea.
Among the party-goers? Michelle Keegan - who plays the soap’s Tina McIntyre - showed up sporting a blue shift dress and carrying a bag that cunningly matched her hair.
Michelle’s been nominated in the all-important Sexiest Female category again - but insists she’s nothing special. “I just go to Tesco in my pyjamas,” she claims. “I’ve done that since day one, even before I had the job, and I still do that now.”
Meanwhile, Kym Marsh showed up with her partner, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas…
And old-timers Michael Le Vell and Sally Whittaker looked much, much happier than they ever do in the programme…
Still, rumour has it there was a meat raffle in the Queen Vic last night, so maybe everyone just decided to stay put in Walford instead.
