As the shocking news of Michael Jackson’s death sinks in across the world, fellow celebrities have been paying tribute to the King of Pop.
A few examples? Madonna: “I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I’ve always admired Michael - the world has lost one of its greats but his music will love on forever.”
Michael’s ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley: “I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family.”
Justin Timberlake: "We have lost a genius and a true ambassador of, not only pop music, but of all music. I can't find the words right now to express how deeply saddened I am by Michael's passing."
Britney Spears: “I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time, and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone.”
P Diddy: “Michael Jackson showed me that you can actually see the beat. He made the music come to life. He made me believe in magic. I will miss him.”
Celine Dion: "He was not only a talented person, but he was unique - a genius. It's such a loss. It feels like when Kennedy died, when Elvis died."
Estelle: "He's not supposed to be the one that's gone right now."
Lindsay Lohan: “RIP Michael Jackson. My love and prayers go to the Jackson family. ‘You are not alone.’”

I may be 13 and i haven't lived for very long to see his concerts or anything but all that i've learned from Michael will live on in me forever and in all those who respect and love him.Ever since he passed away i've been greiving for him and i just can't bear to imagine what his family and friends are going through.
All i have to say is:-
Paris, Prince Michael, Blanket and every one else...
i'm soooo sorry for your loss i know what it's like to lose someone. Even though Michael the King of Pop has gone keep your heads up for he'll always be with us no matter what!:)Also i think that Michaels kids should go to Katherine Jackson like his Will wishes.

Michael Jackson was a gentle soul busting with talent who gave the world so much joy through his music. He was unique- a one-off. I am greatly saddened by his passing and sad for his children. But his music will live on and now he is at peace, in a better place. RIP Michael

Without doubt Michael Jackson was truly a unique gift to the entertainment world.
I do not believe for one second he abused one child. My feeling is that children are truly the only people he felt safe with and thought wouldn't use him. However he didn't consider the children's evil and greedy parents with other agendas, regardless of it destroying somebody else's life. The life of somebody who's only crime was to be naieve, and how could he be anything else because he was so shielded from "normality" ALL of his life. He did live a fairytale existence and that was his normality. Quiet and caring and kind to many thousands of unfortunate kids, does it not seem feasable therefore that there should be hundreds of kids coming forward with stories of abuse if he really were a serial abuser.
No a couple of greedy evil freeloaders saw a way of getting out of poverty at Michael's expense. Not just financial expense but worse, he paid the ultimate price with his character and life assassinated in front of the whole world.
My heart goes out to his children who so obviously adored him and I'm at least happy that he was able to experience the joy and love of being a father.
I sincerely hope he's at peace now and I'm sure he'll be rocking heaven. ROCK IN PEACE Michael x

message to Ellie. Who's to say what is normal? In his life he tried to make his own life as happy as he could for himself and his family and children. I try to imagine how it would have been to have been bullied since an early age into performing on demand for our entertainment. The Jacksons and Michael were magical. He was hounded and could not live as you put it a normal life. i only hope that God is taking immense care of him now. God Bless xxx

My god reading through some of the peoples comments on here really make me sick.
Show some dam respect and no offense but lets face it plenty of people in the world have things going on behind closed doors that are WEIRD!!!
and the only reason people dont say anything is cause others dont know nothing about it. The big mistake that Michael ever made was to put his trust into people and thought he could find that trust in children, that too was a mistake.
My lifetime left and also my childrens will never see another LEGEND like him.

loved his music,his lifestyle was private as it should be. Why do people think they have every right to know all about someone,i wouldn't like it,his music was brilliant but true fans know that anyway. May he rest in peace.

Michael's in a better place.
He will always be ridiculed for his looks alive or dead.
And for those who were negative about him don't be so harsh about him, he suffered greatly as child never grew up or want to grow up. A comment from Ellie on the 8th, how can you even post your comment discusting thing to write about him and I quote from you:- 'HE WAS A FREAK'.
How about being more respectful towards Michael and especially respecting yourself you sound very very bitter.

I remember watching The Jackson Five when they first come to our screen. The first album I bought was Ben by Michael Jackson.
He has progressed over the years into an icon, his talent was endless.
I watched the Interview for the second time last night and I was disgusted by Bashir.
I have never seen anyone interview someone and scrutinise everything about them, the way it was done in that interview.
Any other celebrity can go out with their children and nothing is said about the fans, They have drug and alcohol addictions or plastic surgery that is accepted but not if Michael did.
Michael grew up with an abusive father and tried to help other less fortunate kids.
Just accept him for the person he was.I don't believe he ever harmed anyone.

Michael touched the hearts of so many people. When I heard one of his songs being played today in the street by two people playing steel drums, I felt that there was a real sense of sadness and loss in the atmosphere, but also a feeling of hope because Michael's songs were so moving. It is so sad that this multi talented man has been taken so early, but he left an enduring legacy.

Micheal would have loved being centre stage on Tuesday. What a fitting ending for the greatest showman of all time. His daughter broke my heart. What a brave girl. I just hope he if left to rest in peace. My heart goes out to his family.And I pray his children will be left in peace

I saw him in Cardiff in 1988, he was just amazing, that memory of him will live on in my mind and the thousands that were there. I hope you rest in peace Michael, my prayers are with his children, the world lost a legend, they lost their daddy.

i've loved Michael Jackson from the minute i knew what music was, when i was about 3. i've grown up loving everything about him, he was my idol and my first crush! I will miss him dearly, i've cried every day for the last 2 weeks and still can't come to terms with it, his death has shocked me to the core. He will be remembered for all the good that he's done for the world, his music, his dancing and his fantastic videos. Please let this lovely gentle man rest in peace and may the people that accused him of the terrible things feel the guilt that they should. He was a wonderful father and a genuine legend. i have no words to express how i feel right now, i still can't beleve the fact that he's not alive... we have lost an icon who cannot be compared with anyone else alive today. Michael Jackson was not only the KING OF POP but Michael JAckson is a name of an ART himself.
im deeply saddened! that we have lost him but his music will live throughout our lives!

Very sad to hear that Michael Jackson has passed away.
His music was an inspiration to me and so many other people.
Billie Jean was one of the first records that i bought and i will remember him for his music and not the controversy that has plagued his career and life.

I saw him at Wembley in 1988 and he was fantastic. He was one of the best entertainers who ever lived. I just hope the rumours and bad press that followed him will be forgotten and he will be remembered for the pleasure he gave to millions with his music. RIP MJ xxx

I was so shocked to hear about this, after seeing him on the news getting ready for his tour, this was the last thing anybody would have expected. I have grown up watching him on TV and listening to his music. He was an amazing entertainer and I am saddened by his death. There will never be anybody else like him, he has been taken too early, like so many other stars over the years. RIP

Was so shocked - what a unique , iconic superstar . To me he is the greatest of the greats - always will be. He wasnt just a man who could sing . He put his heart, soul, guts and life into every word he sang and move he made.
He deserves a huge thank you for being the perfect entertainer . I so hope there is something better after this life as he deserves it after all the pain he received in this one.
The media and some very greedy , shameful families destroyed this man .
I guess this early departure only serves to make him even more of legend.

What a great man, and a legend who will stay in our hearts for years to come. I could never get tickets to his concerts because they were always sold out! I always wanted to get his autograph but i didn't think i needed to rush, but now that he's gone, i suppose you've got to live for today and not for tomorrow. All my condolences to his family, especialy since they've already lost a child in a tragic way. R.I.P Michael.

I always thoughts that Michael Jackson would never see 'old age', but really wasn't expecting it now. I too had tkts for O2 but am very thankful that I saw his Bad tour back in the 80's. He will always be a unique musical genius of which we will never see again. 4 decades of musical history and he was only 50 years of age... I'm saddened that his three children to whom he was very obviously devoted, despite the balcony episode, will now grow up without their father.

I feel very sad indeed and although he was one of the greatest artists ever, I think he had a tragic life and may never have been truly happy except perhaps with his children. As with other legends before him, he died relatively young but his music will live on forever. My prayers are with his children and close family and I hope he now does find true peace.

It's always such a shock when somebody famous dies but I really don't believe Jacko isn't with us any more. I had tickets to see him at the O2. Gutted! RIP Michael.
