Brad stops traffic in Siberia!

Forget speed bumps and temporary traffic lights! Police in Siberia have come up with the ultimate traffic-calming measure. Its name? Brad Pitt.

Apparently, officers in Omsk have placed life-size cardboard cut-outs of Brad dressed as a traffic cop at dangerous intersections across the city - in a bid to slow down speeding motorists.

It might sound a bit daft, but reports suggest it’s working. Omsk officials say accident rates have dropped because drivers are slowing down to look at the Hollywood hotshot.

“He’s kind of like a colleague for us,” local official Dmitry Ziryanov - the brains behind the idea - told everyone’s favourite Russian newspaper, Argumenty i Fakty.

Hmmm… I wonder if cardboard cut-outs of other celebrities would have the same effect. I’d definitely slow down to take a peep at Brad - but certain stars might make me stamp down hard on the accelerator. How about you?
