It's a Trekkies and Heroes mash-up!

Puh! Star Trek premieres are so two weeks ago.

Still, the Americans finally caught up with us Brits last night - as the film received its official unveiling in Los Angeles.

All the stars were there - including Heroes baddie Zachary Pinto, who plays Spock in the film, and Winona Ryder, who plays Spock's mum. Ah yes, I can see the family resemblance...

Also on the red black carpet? A handful of Zachary's Heroes co-stars showed up, including a very glammed-up Hayden Panettiere...

 

And Desperate Housewives fans who are currently mourning the loss of her character Edie will have been heartened to see Nicolette Sheridan alive and well - and giving Hayden a run for her money in the glamour stakes...

 

Oh, and here's pregnant supermodel Heidi Klum doing the Vulcan salute...

 

She plays Spock's granny in the film. Possibly.

The ardent Trekkies among you may also be interested to hear that original Spock Leonard Nimoy and original Sulu George Takei were also at the premiere - but William Shatner stayed away in a sulk. Diddums!
