Nicole steals the show

Nicole Kidman was the belle of the ball at last night's Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas - despite only being there to support husband Keith Urban. Or was he supporting her? It's difficult to tell from this picture.

For those of you who like to take note of these things, Nicole wore a backless, floor-skimming L'Wren Scott gown. Very nice.

Also worthy of note? Miley Cyrus opted for a Monique Lhuillier one-shoulder dress with jewel details...

 

There's no denying how gorgeous she looks here - but isn't this frock a little too grown-up for a 16-year-old?

Meanwhile, Jennifer Love Hewitt wore a stunning Robert Rodriguez halterneck dress...

 

As an aside, does anyone remember the media ding-dong when Jennifer was pictured looking "curvier than usual" (ie normal) in her bikini towards the end of 2007?

Well, she's shed a few pounds since then, so those lovely people at the Daily Mail have decided to run with the headline: "Has Jennifer lost too much weight?"

Poor celebrities - they can't win, can they?
