Fancy dinner with Cheryl Cole?

It'll come as no surprise to regular readers of this blog (hello you two!) to learn that Cheryl Cole has topped yet another poll.

The latest? Our Chezza is men's ideal candlelit dinner partner. The Girls Aloud star beat Kelly Brook and Jennifer Aniston to the No.1 spot in a survey of 4,000 people carried out for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

Women, meanwhile, would most like to share a romantic meal with Johnny Depp...

 

That said, most of us wouldn't say no to second-placed George Clooney either. Hmmm... we're all so predictable, aren't we?

Those polled were also asked which celebrity they'd most like to bring back from the dead for a candlelit meal. Elvis Presley secured the most votes, closely followed by Freddie Mercury and Marilyn Monroe.

The survey was carried out in support of WWF's Earth Hour initiative - a bid to encourage one billion people to turn off the lights for an hour at 8.30pm this coming Saturday.

Campaign head Colin Butfield says: "WWF hope that millions of people across the UK will take part and celebrate the hour by holding candlelit dinners with their friends and family, even if they are secretly wishing they were with Cheryl Cole or Johnny Depp instead."

Funnily enough, Cheryl and Johnny are already coming round to my house to watch Casualty and have a fish-and-chip supper on Saturday anyway. I must remember to switch the lights out...
