Who's Alexandra's new best friend?
Posted by Jane Murphy

Here are wonder-warblers Alexandra Burke and Ruth Lorenzo heading back to their London hotel after last night's X Factor party at Movida.
The pair refused to get out of their car until the paparazzi serenaded them with a rousing rendition of Jeff Buckley's Alex's 'Hallelujah'. What a delightful little scene that must have been.
But Ruth had better be on her guard. Apparently, she has a rival for the title of "Alex's BFF". Her name? Kate Moss.

According to The Sun, the pair's friendship blossomed when Kate became a "regular" in the X Factor audience. (I'm sure I only saw her there once, but never mind...)
"I'm going to her party on Friday," Alex told the tabloid. "She promised me I could have anything I wanted from her wardrobe. She said I could stay the night then we would go for a pub lunch on Saturday. I can't wait."
Alex can't wait? Just imagine how the paps must be feeling after that top tip-off...

I think Alex has a really good voice but comes off as a complete Diva (not in a good way). Didnt anyone see the final? When her name was announced she snatched the microphone from Dermot, starting storming up and down the stage and then demanded Simon, Loui and Danni to come up on stage. Who does she think she is? I think her voice is amazing but because she has such a bad attitude I wouldn't buy her music. Fame is going to go straight to her head and its such a shame.

Alex was DEFINITELY NOT the best vocalist this year.

If I don't like someone or something I have every right to say so. Is this not a free country? I can express my opinion negative or positive thank you very much. And I completely disagree about Alex have raw and more talent than the other contestants. It's so evident when she sings Hero by herself and cannot reach most of the notes. She's boring and painful to watch and such a drama queen.

here if you dont like the girl then dont go spending your time on the internet writing negative things about her. go onto something about someone you like and write some positive things about them. i think she has an amazing voice and her version of hallelujah was really good. i mean people would complain about whoever won because the original is so good.

:O
How can anyone say Alex winning was a fix?!? She has pure tallent, and a way better singer than the other X factor finalists. And how could anyone say she "Murdered" Halleluja? She is amazing in my eyes, but even if you don't like her voice, her personaluty should'nt be accused!

Alex murdered Hallelujah. But I blame Simon mostly for fixing the show and making her the winner. I wish her well. I love Ruth.

I HATE ALEX. SORRY I HAVE AN OPINION!! I wouldn't care either way if she actually had a nice personality. But she is sooo selfish and bigheaded.

Emotionless indeed. I feel nothing - NOTHING! - when Alex sings. Leona's voice OVERFLOWS with emotion. So much so it gives me chills, goosebumps, tears, the lot. Where's the passion Alex? The range? The grace?? She has a lot to learn. Girl needs to tone down her annoying ME ME ME personality too.

Alex is an overhyped obnoxious attention-seeker.
HATE her version of Hallelujah! Not only is it completely dull and empty, she gives each line 12 bloody runs!!! It is NOT a diva song you muppet. I dislike boybands (yes I know JLS play and song-write but they are still a boyband) but I came to the conclusion their version of the song is stunning. I listented to the live MP3 of their performance after listening to both Alex's live and recorded versions & was rather shocked. It sounded tons better than it did on the TV (lack of cheesy outfits & production possibly) for one. Now I respect Leonard and I think Buckley's rendition is the defining one (the billion other covers don't do it for me) but the lads actually managed to capture the tender lustful message of the song. The difference is striking when you listen to Alex's emotionless version and to theirs. She sings it for herself and her moment showing of her warbling whilst the emotion in the boys' performance is so genuine, you can hear the story. So well done to them. Shame they lost the chance to record it.
