Piers slams Kerry (and Carol... and Jonathan...)
Posted by Jane Murphy

As 2008 limps and shivers towards its close, Piers Morgan has turned in a thought-provoking piece of journalism for the Daily Mail, which must surely only be rivalled by my own Name That Bottom for its passion, intelligence and insightfulness.
Its title? Piers's Celebrity Champs and Chumps of 2008. The champs include the usual suspects: Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Barack Obama... (Ah, Barack will be pleased.)
And the chumps? See if you can guess which under-fire celebrity Piers is referring to here: "A ludicrous, selfish, obnoxious creature who should now, surely, be confined to the dustbins of unsightly Z-list debris." Himself maybe? Nope, it's Kerry Katona.
Nasty Piers also lays into old adversary Carol Vorderman.

"She lost her Countdown gig to a foxy maths genius Essex girl half her age, and twice as good looking," sniggers the 43-year-old Sussex boy, who's no stranger to losing jobs himself.
Oh, and while most of us have pretty much moved on from Sachsgate now, Piers is apparently still fuming with his "old chum" Jonathan Ross.

His verdict on Jonathan? "A man who used to be a great laugh. But who, along the road to fame and obscene fortune, morphed into an unpleasant, hypocritical old sleazeball who thought it was amusing to ring up a 78-year-old man and tell him Russell Brand had defiled his granddaughter."
Defiled? I don't think that's quite the word Wossy used - but never mind...
So do you agree with Mr Morgan's appraisals of Kerry, Carol and Jonathan - or has he just made himself look a chump instead? Tell us what you think.

It infuriates me that I have to pay £150.00 of my exceedingly hard earned money out to the BBC so they can hire idiots like Jonathan Ross at extortionate salaries.
A three month suspension as punishment - what a joke - with what we taxpayers are paying him it is the equivalent of our boss telling us to take a half hour (or less) off without pay and I'd bet we'd feel that more than Jonathan Ross did.
He should be fired, salaries should be capped at a reasonable figure (set by the great British public who provide the funds).
I'm sick of hearing the BBC telling us that "lessons will be learned" when we all know they won't because they carry on with this nonsense the same as they carry on with the phone vote jokes. I've heard this tired old line rolled out time after time after time.
The BBC is nothing but a leech that bleeds the English public dry so they can pay out obnoxious amounts of money in the name of entertainment.
There I feel much better now.

Agree with what he said about Jonathan Ross, I used to like watching him on the Friday night show but the guests all started becoming the same. Whats the betting when he does come back on, he has Ricky Gervais on because, how many times has he been on it so far????? Gone right off him and think he should be brought down a peg or two.
Kerry Katona is one of those people who just seem to be in the papers because of a scandal and if its not her its her fella, there is nothing else going on for her so I suppose she has to do something really.
Carol Vordaman has never been the same on the show since Richard Whitely died. Its nothing to do with being replaced by a younger model, suppose when you work with somebody for such a long time, its hard to adjust to something new. Think what he said is out of order and it might not be too long before he is being replaced in his "job" for a younger model!

I will never watch Jonathan Ross again he should not be allowed back on T.V. What would he have done if it had happened to one of his family
used bad language.

The man (Piers Morgan) is not even worth thinking or talking about.....he is as rubbish as Ross and any others that put themselves in the lime light for critiscism...perhaps some of his money and others should be given to the Government to help those who need it....because whatever he gets paid is toooo much!!!!!!......

Morgan looks like Brenda Fricker! He should be the last one to comment on anyone's appearance. Kerry Katona is a damged young woman - deserving of sympathy rather than condemnation.
