Lily defends Amy
Posted by Jane Murphy

They may not always have seen eye to eye - but Lily Allen has still spoken out in defence of erstwhile rival Amy Winehouse.
"I know Amy very well, and she is very different to what people portray her as being," Lily says in an interview with Scotland on Sunday. "Yes, she does get out of her mind on drugs sometimes - but she is also a very clever, intelligent, witty, funny person who can hold it together. You just don't see that side. She gets a really hard time."
In fact, Lily thinks she and Amy both get a raw deal from the media. "I mean, there aren't that many people with whom the press concentrate on their personality so much," she continues. "I think in the UK, as far as females go, it's mainly me and her that get that treatment."
So is Lily right? Should the tabloids cut her and Amy some slack? Tell us what you think.

i dont like Amy whinehouse that much but ive been judged myself so i have no standing to say stupid things. i think the press would do much better putting all their energy into finding genuinly dangerous people like Bin Ladin rather than worrying about some celebrity that alledgedly "went shopping" or "has a sex life" they are people, granted some seek alot of attention but they would stop if everyone ignored them. the press of today is pathetic and i believe working as a papperazzi journalist is the lowest form of job available, granted it pays well but those people have no morals and respect from privacy

Absolutly, although everybode has a choice. They don't have to party on the celebrity places where all the paparazzis hang out.

actions speak louder than words. We see what we're shown from 'celebs'.You all have a 'god complex'and think ur better than everyone else. Its great to see talented people waste away on drugs and stuff, hopefully that will just leave decent people for others to look up to.good ridance to bad rubbish.haha
