Comeback queen Britney Spears came over a bit "Stars In Their Eyes" at last night's Bambi awards in Germany - taking to the stage dressed as her friend and mentor Madonna.

This was Brit-Brit's first live stage performance since her nightmare appearance at last year's VMAs - but, thankfully, she did herself proud:

Not bad, eh? Afterwards, a breathless Britney picked up the gong for Best International Pop Star.

And she's set to do it all again tomorrow night when she performs live on The X Factor - although rumour has it she'll be coming dressed as Wizzard this time...

She has only just begun to get her life back on track as she has obviously had depression/a mental illness. You don't shave your hair off for no reason. After having to cope with something like that it takes a long time to get right and you never get back to "normal". Everyone makes mistakes and i think she looked really happy which is all that matters. Stop being prejudice and give her a break.

hated every painful minuet she mimed she has forgoten how to answer a question and why did she not give a master class to the contetstants like all the other guests have go home britney and stay there !!!!!!!

I was very disappointed with britneys preformance,she was totally out preformed by the star of the show ruth lorenzo who should not had been voted off, this was most likley because of simon's coment to alexandra about being british.
the show will not be worth watching now.

Hated Britney on the x factor, she mimed all the way through, couldn't dance and stomped around like an elephant. When she spoke at the end she needed Dermot o' leary's microphone to be heard, so that proved she was miming, otherwise she would of spoke out of her headset. Never really answered the questions to at the end.

Its a shame she mimed on X factor but I really enjoyed the performance, and its nice that she at least looks well and seems to be getting her life back on track.

I was really disappointed with britney, this was her first performance On UK Only tv, and she mimed (Badly), Pranced around like she wasnt bothered and looked like she had just been asleep.
Keep this up brit and your career isnt going anywhere, im sure some people wont come to your concert now after that bad performance i dont blame them, in my oppinion you have messed it up.

I thought she was crap!! Why didnt she meet the contestants?? Why did she mime but kept tapping her mike?? It is sad that the so called pros mimic but the up & coming contestants who take stick each week about there vocals sing live!!!! So Danny & Cheryl why dont you have a go at it live for a change!!!!

Britney - a spoilt brat who can just about sing, can't stand her or her ilk. The music industry (used in the loosest possible sense) should get rid and give real singers and musicians a chance.

So what if she mimed, whats the difference with her doing it and god knows how many other acts who have appeared on stage and mimed. Alright, she might not have met the contestants but did anybody see when Mariah did the mentoring for a week, how bored and plastic can a person look?

Its pretty poor when ex contestants of the X-Factor make their first performance of their new single, and mime. Anybody see Same Difference last week? I also think that all the contestants mimed to the song "heros" when it was performed a couple of weeks ago.

Get over yourself Sharon, don't see how she screwed her kids up when they are with their dad. The way you are taking its like they are in care or something, do you read the papers at all?

If she was in the UK staying there wouldn't a been a fuss about the things she's done, every one make an odd mistake with thier kids who doesn't, but its just because she is in the camera eye. Give her a chance every one including the press. I think u're luvly and brill, I wish her luck

Mimes, Proof enough she,s a con artist and did not warrant to be on the same stage as the other contestants, who out performed her with her own songs.
