Tom loves Suri's paparazzi snaps!

Here's super-cute Suri Cruise strolling through New York's Greenwich Village with her mum Katie Holmes yesterday afternoon.

Suri entertained the paparazzi by chowing down on a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery - the upmarket bun shop made famous by Sex and the City, fact fans.

Interestingly, while some high-profile parents understandably go to great lengths to keep the snappers away from their kids, Tom Cruise has been positively gushing about all those recent pics of Suri.

"I have to say some of those paparazzi shots of my daughter are incredible," he tells Australian Grazia magazine. "As a parent you protect your children, but Suri is a very open and warm child and she will just wave to people on the street. She is such a happy, fun girl.

"It is certainly different these days with the media, but people have been very good to us and do give us space so I'm not going to be difficult."

Oh, and apparently Suri chooses her own wardrobe. "She's very determined - just like her mother," says Tom. "I'd put a pair of pants on her and the next minute I turn around and the pants are off and a dress is on."

Erm... is he talking about Suri or Katie here, do you reckon?
