Cleese reveals shock marriage views
Posted by Jane Murphy

Oooh - you can't move for stories about former Fawlty Towers stars at the moment.
John Cleese - the original Andrew Sachs-botherer - has revealed some pretty controversial views about marriage in a new interview with The Times.
Currently going through his third divorce, the 68-year-old actor was asked whether he would have preferred to spend the past 40 years with just one woman.
His reply? "No, I think it should be like dog licences. I think you should renew marriage licences every five years, unless you have children.
"And I think before you have children you should have to go and pass various tests and get a licence to have a child. Because it's the most transformative and difficult thing of your life."
Do you agree with John? Tell us here.

Totally agree with the 2nd point about having to pass various tests before being allowed to have children. It's not fair on the children who have no say in being bought into the world and get their lives screwed up by their parents. As a woman even I feel that there's something very scary about the fact that any woman has the potential/power to have a child just like that, let alone a girl as young as 11 or so.
