Cheryl beats Charl in poll

Listen up, pet. Cheryl Cole's Geordie lilt has topped a poll of the nation's favourite celebrity accents - while erstwhile rival Charlotte Church's Welsh burr sees her languishing on the "most hated" list.
But Charl's dulcet tones were still more popular than the Cockney twangs of David Beckham and Amy Winehouse, which were voted the UK's most annoying accents in the poll by Travelodge.
Other popular accents included Bolton's Peter Kay, Northern Ireland's James Nesbitt and Fife-born Edith Bowman.

I'm a cockney & aside from Ray Winstone & Danny Dyer (diamond geezers) you can't beat a good old Lancs, Yorks & (not mega broad) Mancunian accent. Cheshire at a push, but not posh Cheshire, more Macclesfield & Warrington than the footy suburbs. I lived in Cheshire and Lancs and I hope to return permanently one day. Most of my boyfriends have been from that region, the accent is a complete melter for me. Rob James-Collier (Corrie), Stephen Lord (Enders), William Ash & Chris Coghill (Burn It), Jason Manford & Peter Kay LUSH!
I love it when bands & vocalists embrace their dialect ie Alex Turner (Arctics) & Jarvis Cocker (formerly Pulp).
I'm getting a bit into the welsh thing, but mainly due to Ruth Jones & Charlotte Church being great gals & my obsession with James Cordon since 'Fat Friends' & now the mega success of 'Gav & Stace'.
I lived in Billeicay, Essex for a number of years and Basildon/Thurrock/Harlow area of the Essex accent did start to grate on me after a while-sort of Jamie Oliver 'Mockney'. I said "Oi you Nooooooooooooo".

Jenny Faulkerner off GMTV mmmm, Christine Blakelys lovely Irish accent, so so great :) Catherine Zeta Jones was sexiest EVER! ...before she went all americun.

Im welsh, cant stand the idea of stereotypes as I have no welsh accent at all. Just wanted to make sure all people are informed that Wales isnt full of deluded idiots with no knowledge.
