Renée reveals cancer scare

Seeing as Breast Cancer Awareness Month is just around the corner, some of our favourite celebrities have been doing their bit by speaking out about the disease.
First up? It’s Renée Zellweger who recalls finding two small lumps in her right breast back in 1996.
The Bridget Jones star got checked out right away, but thankfully - after a “weird couple of days” waiting by the phone - she learned she had nothing to worry about.
The lumps turned out to be benign tumours called “fibroadenomas” - which Renée calls “a fancy word for nothing.”
Nevertheless, the experience made her vow to be more breast-aware. “I pay attention,” she tells Self magazine. “I do go get my check-ups.”

Meanwhile, Halle Berry has revealed how she felt inspired to step up the fight against breast cancer after discovering her obstetrician’s wife was battling the disease.
Halle observed the doctor and his wife coping with the stress and turmoil while he guided her through her pregnancy. “Watching them go through that made me respect the resilience of those who are suffering,” Halle tells InStyle magazine.
Halle has now committed to taking part in more charity events to raise vital funds for breast cancer research.
