Here's Manchester United pin-up Cristiano Ronaldo relaxing on the beach in Sardinia with his model girlfriend Nereida Gallardo.
Today's papers are full of pics of the pair soaking up the rays and putting on a public display of affection - as the Portuguese footie star refuses to confirm whether he'll return to Manchester next season, or decamp to Real Madrid instead.
Tsk - who cares? Frankly, I think he had a bit of a nerve showing his face in this country again after the last World Cup. (Sorry, but I've got a long and bitter memory when it comes to football. I still get very angry when I think how Diego Maradona's "hand of God" ruined my childhood.)
Anyway, I digress... Don't you think these pics of Ronaldo are so posed? Surely he's just rubbing it in while he decides which multi-million-pound contract to take... Or am I being unfair?

Posing or not - best (questionable) footballer in the world or not - who cares. Ronaldo is just like the rest of these overpaid prima donnas- it's only the money (your money) that counts and whoever pays the most will get them. Loyalty (not to mention a contract) doesn't even enter into their thinking . Man U can easily do without people like this.

When the public say he is a great player I don't quiet get he has done nothing for his nation as a player and when cames to big competitions he doesn't do anything excpet throw himself on the ground.
Good looking not really he might have a nice body and thats why he gets pay for.
As a player he is ok he still has a lot to learn now if we are talking about good football player lets talk about. Zidane, Ronaldinho,Kaka,Luiz Figo they know how to play and the most important play football with dignity and not throwing themselfs on the ground.

And about the world cup thing if the situation was the opposite way round you would expect an English player to try and get the Portuguese player sent off. So for that I think we can't blame him for and if Wayne Rooney can forgive him, then so should everyone else!

Whats the big deal? If he wants to go nobody will stop him - I would like to see these footballers honour their contracts though its just so unfair on the club when you have made them a star, put them into your plans for the future and then there're off,well out of order look at Hleb he was a nobody until he went to Te Arsenal now the little weasle wants out coz he had a good season.

I used to love this guy...but only for his bloody looks! yea so hes 'buff', but thinking about it..hes got such an ugly personality it makes him an ugly person overall! i personally think hes posing (without a doubt!) I hate him and all the media attention surronding him, which he plainly loves and lives for. Have to admit he is a great player but not worth the money being quoted in the press. If he goes then fair enough someone will fill his boots next season.

I know a British girl who dated him briefly, he is a poser but he treated her ok. Here is a funny fact for you... they may be worth millions but apparently Ronaldo has extremely ticklish feet! He get hysterical if they are touched and apparently she could get him to do nearly anything just with a threat of tickling them.

I think Ronaldo is a real hottie and am more than happy to look at pictures of him on holiday, i only wish it was me there with him LOL. If he wants to go then let him go. i think hes got no respect for anyone..especially british football..ie(rooney's send off at the world cup)..and hes only out for 1 thing....MONEY....as if the guy isnt on enough money already..£100.000 a week..christ most people dont make a quarter of that a year..working grueling hours 50+ a week..he thinks he god..hes getting to big for his boots...ok cant take it from him that he is a very good player..but so are alot of premiership players..which most of them have RESPECT..they love their football and what comes with it..but the guy all hes in it for is the money...he thinks he will be as successful as beckham..not a chance..so my personal opinion of the guy..is ...get out of britain ..we dont need you..not enough room for that BIG head of yours...if it wasnt for man united he would possibly be never heard of as a world class player..there you go...
