Britney to play Sandy?

Remember those rumours that Britney Spears was set to star in a West End production of A Streetcar Named Desire?
Well, now forget them. The latest thespian tittle-tattle suggests she's given up on the idea of playing tortured soul Blanche Dubois in the Tennessee Williams classic. Boo! But she's now being lined up to play Sandy in a Broadway production of Grease instead. Hurrah!
"The producers were bouncing around the idea of casting Britney in the role," says an insider. "They're recasting the roles in July, and they thought she looked like a Sandy."
Just one thing, though: if Britney plays Sandy, who should play Danny? Justin Timberlake? Kevin Federline? Gareth Gates? Tell us what you think.

gareth gates would be amazing as danny. would love to see that! he looks amazing, and has an amazing voice...what more could you ask for?!

I definately think Gareth Gates should play Danny. As its been said sooo many times before, he has the whole package to be Danny and I actually think that this could be a great thing for Gareth's speach impediment as he will have to practice his lines alot, therefore he will be talking alot lol!!
Bring it on, if Gareth plays Danny, i would pay whatever it takes to make sure i get to see it :o)

Gareth Gates would be a perfect Danny. He has the whole package, and could really make this role his own! Do hope he gets it!

Gareth Gates would be FANTASTIC. He is the guy who has the lot. He is tall, dark, handsome, has charisma, sex appeal and sings like an angel.

i think darius would be quite good he's getting good reviews for gone with the wind. yes gareth would be good at the singing part but not so sure about the acting incase the stutter came back!

Gareth Gates would deffo make a good Danny as he has the looks and the cheeky personality too and a fantastic singing voice, i saw him on the TV show Grease Mania and is was fantastic on that.

Gareth Gates would make a fantastic Danny. He has the looks the charisma and is very talented he has a briulliant voice and was fantastic when he sang on Grease Mania.

Michael Jackson is way, way too old to pretend to be a high school student. I know John Travolta was pushing 30, and for a stage show you can get away with a bit of artistic licence, but they shouldn't look like Britney's dad!
Justin would be interesting, and Gareth would be good, but I'm not sure if he'd want to move to NY.

Gareth Gates definately has the voice and the charisma of Danny.I would love to see him on stage and he would be the best looking Danny since John Travolta with a voice to match.

I would say Gareth Gates his tall very talented and very good looking,and what a fantastic voice he has.I rember seeing him on Grease the tv show singing the songs from the show he would make a great Danny.

Gareth Gates would make the perfect Danny, he has allready shown how great he would be in Grease by the TV show he was in, singing the songs from the show. Just the thought of Gareth playing Danny makes me go weak at the knees.

6ft tall, dark hair etc.
