Heather Mills gets her money. But the drama's not over yet
Posted by Michal Dzierza
The nation has breathed a sigh of relief. The Macca/Mucca saga is finally over. Or is it?
Heather Mills has today been awarded £24.3m, a nice chunk of Sir Paul McCartney's fortune, following their widely publicised divorce battle.
But just when you thought she was about to shut up for good and move to some warmer climates, Heather Mills announced she'd love to stay in the limelight for a wee bit longer.
She'll now be appealing over “confidentiality terms” after the judgment was made public.
Oh, the poor dear – just because we now know she'll get more than £16m in cash and the rest in assets? Take the money and run, love.
Of course you, dear reader, may be enjoying the saga immensely and might want to see yet more of Mucca over the next few months. What do you think?

i think she is a gold digging witch. who so a man shattered with greif over the loss of the love of his life. A jumped at the chance of making some money. She thought nothing of selling herslf in the past so why not now. To make sure she gets paid for the rest of her life so deliberately had tht sweet little girl who is going to be used a s apawn in her sick game. good luck to bea and hopefully her dad will be as good solid influence in her life and she'll have the support of her older brothers and sisters. well done sir paul

And she needs those millions of pounds that she DIDN'T earn why?
Nothing but charity work for 20 years? Get a job then and stop making a big deal about it! This woman does my head in! Talk about attention seeking.

we should forget about heather now and start thinking about the daughter, she should not be in the care of this woman. How long will it be before she is being exploited for favours?!! left in heathers care it wont be long knowing of miss Mills past history and morality. For gods sake sir paul get her away from that woman at any cost, before it is too late
Posted by: brian | 26 March 2008 at 15:01
I'm on neither of their sides. Whether Heather married him for money or not, which I don't think she did, wouldn't any young woman struggling with money do so? He has ALOT of money after all. Secondly, she had his baby. I know a woman who married for money and told her husband she can't have children! Paul fell in love with her,he brought her into his life, and everyone is at his feet worshipping him for being in a world famous band. Heather isn't in a world famous band, and her history isn't completely satisfactory with the public, but it's what happened between them that broke up the marriage at the end of the day. So leave her alone.

I think is is disgusting that this women is in charge of a small child. She is greedy, self obsessed and has no qualms about using her daughter as a go between to make Paul pay!! Get custody Paul, the only problem is it will be hard because Heather does not want to loose her bargain item!! Goodbye and don't come back.!!

What kind of common scrubber pours water over someones head? Obviously thinks she back in the pub at chucking out time.

Considering Paul McCartney made most of his fortune with the Beatles and his "first" wife before he met Heather-She should thank her lucky stars she's got what she has.ENOUGH ALREADY! Leave Paul to get on with the rest of his life! PLEASE!
Posted by: Evie | 21 March 2008 at 22:28
For sure Heather was proved to be what I always knew she was - an awful person. However you have been brought to earth from your priviliged position Sir Paul ! If you thought you were Jack the Lad you now look more like Simple Simon. I dont have any sympathy for you like so many others in this blog who seem to.

They are as bad as each other and their lawyers must have made a mint but I must say that if I married & divorced a man worth £400m or £800m - I would want HALF!!!! :- P
Posted by: JB | 20 March 2008 at 22:19
DONT COME BACK. PAULS BETTER OFFF WITHOUT YOU ANYWAY. PITY THERE WAS A KID INVOLVED. YOU NEVER HAD A LEG TO STAND ON ANYWAY.
Posted by: AMP | 20 March 2008 at 15:43
For those who will pick up on the 2 x spelling mistakes - this was intended as pun at the farce of a relationship played out to great amusement amongst fleet street press.
Posted by: David Rutter | 20 March 2008 at 15:25
not all women end up with the children and it's not all men who refuse to pay. I see all sorts in my job and i think that the money heather has been awarded is more than enough. I've been married for 12 years and if it was to end tomorrow i certainly wouldn't go down the road she did for the sake of money,(not that my husband is wealthy) as far as i'm concerned child support should be paid voluntarily and if it's not then you and your kids have no-one else to thank for any hand outs. Demanding £125 million is just greedy. Paul Mcartney is not my favourite musician but he earned the majority of his fortune off his own back and the rest from his late wifes substantial estate. He may have been a bit tight with his money but at least his other children are grounded and are able to stand on their own 2 feet. Heather Mills has not considered this or the well fare of her daughter and the outcome that it may or may not have on her life. This will be talked about for years whether it be her bitter mother or the press, cos sure as we live and breathe when Bea is older the press will bring this to light once again. Heather should be made to live in the real world for a change to see what a struggle life is for the majority of the people in this country who work and don't have nannies and multi million pound homes given to them in divorce settlements

Oh dear - isn't it sad that the poor little wanabe only gets 24.3 million squid.I also think Stella McCartney was the third women in this marriage.Spoit Brat comes to mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: David Rutter | 20 March 2008 at 15:18
well i always felt sorry for Heather, i think she got a rough deal from his family, at the end of the day it was he who fell for her. I get the feeling people are scared of siding with her and not SIR PAUL. Well it will all come out in the wash. I say good luck heather i may be in the minority but watch this space as they say.
Posted by: lizzy | 20 March 2008 at 13:30
I agree with you Stuart.
Heather saw a opportunity.
Paul wasnt thinking with his head, well not the one on his shoulders anyway. lol
Posted by: Michelle | 19 March 2008 at 22:34
At the beginning I didnt have my mind made up. I thought Paul was just another silly old fool and in some respect I still think this and Heather was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. But after watching Heather when she left court I think she's a joke. She has been awarded £24 million and thats enough by any standard. But to turn round and say Paul is basically a cheap skate for "Only" giving Bea £35'000 a year. Does this woman live in cuckoo land? Some children dont even get 35p off their parents. And as for Bea will have to ride in B class, here's idea Heather how about you put your hand in your pocket and pay like every other parent... Heather has turned herself into a laughing stock and she cannot blame Paul for that. I just hope they both can put it behind them now and not let their daughter go through anymore hurt. Parents have an a massive impact on their children and they really should be aware of that.
Paul = Put this down to a mistake.
Heather = Shhh and move away if thats want you want to do. If not just keep quite.

GED for your information the woman does not always end up with the house, cash and everything... some of us are lucky to get any money to support the children and I only have a home from inheritance.
I have been left with nothing, not even my self respect. He has a lovely new house, girlfriend and life... and it was HE who was unfaithful,He who walked away, and me left to pick up the pieces of our devastated children. Please be a little more respectful and dont tar us all with the same brush.
Posted by: lou | 19 March 2008 at 21:02
THEY ARE BOTH AS BAD AS EACH OTHER!
IT TAKES TWO TO HAVE BABY, TWO TO BREAK UP A MARRIAGE
OF COURSE HEATHER IS A GOLD DIGGER, BUT IF PAUL HAD KEPT IT IN HIS PANTS HE WOULD NOT BE IN THIS TROUBLE, MANY PEOPLE WILL SAY HE WAS VUNLERABLE AFTER LINDAS DEATH BUT TO BE HONEST THIS WAS A LONG TIME AGO AND PEOPLE CANT ALWAYS MAKE THIS MAN TO BE A SAINT
TWO TO TANGO!
I KNOW I WILL NOW BE SLATED FOR MY OPNION!

poor poor Bea, if she stays with her I dread to think how she will be trained to treat people

in the United states.
Can we get up a few coaches to go and Say Goodbye and....

shame on you heather for making out you did so much for charities and its been proved you didn't.
24 million is too much, paul will always see bea is cared for, you have done very well out of him, now SHUT UP and get lost.
Posted by: kaz | 19 March 2008 at 16:32
she is a disgrace - have some regard for your child.
Posted by: andrew | 19 March 2008 at 16:12
The woman is a waste of air, and totally out of touch with reality. Does she know what the average wage is in the UK? I think most people can survive on 35K let alone a 4 year old and if if she's that concerned she could always dip into the other 16 million! Lets hope we've heard the last of her; unfortunately I doubt it.
Posted by: Trev Crisp | 19 March 2008 at 15:57
I believe Heather Mills had a long term plan when she married Paul McCartney .... and it's finally paid off.

Deceitful gold-digger, common as muck, undignified, loud-mouthed, an opportunistic tart, wingeing, back-biting -- and those are all the nice things!
Posted by: issy | 19 March 2008 at 15:20
Well done Paul. The divorce only cost you an arm and (half ) a leg.
Posted by: Brian | 19 March 2008 at 15:17
I really don't think she has done herself any favours. She should have stayed silent and not mouthed off at every opportunity. Paul has kept his head down and not responded to any of her rants. However, he is one of the richest men in the country and should have paid her off instead of having a court decide. He will never ever in (his lifetime) spend what he has, his older children have their own fortunes and don't need his. He is well known for being a miser, but it hasn't made him any happier knowing he has all that money. I feel sorry for Bea as she will always be piggy in the middle. We don't know what went on behind closed doors and I fear we haven't heard the last of them yet!!!!!
Posted by: Denise | 19 March 2008 at 15:14
ugly on the inside and out what paul saw in this vile woman i will never know and who paid hundreds of pounds to sleep with that???/please.none of that money will go to charity because she,s too greedy, all this charity work started because she tried to portray herself as another linda mccartney this vile gold digger can never be like lovely linda..
Posted by: elaine | 19 March 2008 at 14:03
not knowing either of them personally means i would never know the true story but the words dignity and discretion spring to mind which one of them had those traits.Courting the press costs at some point.

Congrats Sir Paul for getting that nasty piece of trash out of your life.
She is a bloody Goldigger!!!!
Posted by: PC | 19 March 2008 at 13:58
That's the benefits of being a mother!!!!, they always end up with the very nice lump sum, house, kids the lot!!!!!
She was very conniving throughout the marriage and knew how to stick the knife into Paul, I had similar problems with my ex, I lost my first wife in tragic circumstances but I couldn't talk about her, it's the same with Paul, when he was grieving with the loss of Linda, Heather completely shut her out of any conversation when her name was brought up!!
£24 Million, and yet she's still not satisfied, very selfish and extremely childish!!!!!, she needs to grow up and fast.....,and respect someoneelse's loss and their feelings, disability or not.....
Paul, good on you, you are now finally rid of her, now enjoy your life while you're still living...
Posted by: Ged | 19 March 2008 at 13:52
Never did and never will like the woman. Sir Paul must've felt very lonely to fall for someone like her and I feel sorry for him and the kid.

Heather was a girl who thought she was a winner
But she knew it couldn't last
Heather left her home in a gutter in Newecastle
for a piece of Beatle ass
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged
Get back, get back
Get back to where you once belonged

6 million a year not a bad payday,but then she got a beatle,long live rock n roll
Posted by: NICK | 19 March 2008 at 00:09
i think she got a whole lot more than she deserved for just four years of marriage. shes not had to work, so she didnt contribute to the marriage finacially. if i had been the judge i would have given her nuthin, and made her pay for a new hairdo for pauls solicitor. plus cash for assault on a member of court, pouring a jugful of water over anyone is a form of assault. i feel sorry for bea having such a twaz for a mother, shes shown her true colours, pity paul wasnt allowed to pay money for beatrices upbringing, but with a reliable source keeping hold of finances, instead of a greedy gold digger. its laughable what the witch wanted to claim for , considering she wanted nuthing for herself, her demands for cash for wine, and clothes shows otherwise. what a lier. the womans made up for life through marrying into money. no wonder pauls kids hated her, they knew what she was after from day one. pity paul didnt listen.

Wasn't this the woman who appeared on GMTV saying the press hounded and treated bad, yet she seems very happy courting the publicity and giving quotes now?
Just a thought!
Posted by: poundpig.com | 18 March 2008 at 13:37
Paul has only himself to blame. He must have known she wasn't in it for love. She is a little less than a prostitute, and has no obvious talents.
Posted by: preshy | 18 March 2008 at 13:20
Heather was always on to a loser with Sir Paul.... practically a saint according to most.... but you know no one is perfect and divorce does strange things to people. No one was prepared to believe the mental torture and anguish I suffered at the hands of my MR perfect... not even my own mother until the proof of his cheating ways came out. I was driven insane by the way he treated me. I was never good enough, never matched his ideals of what a wife should be. I wonder could heather ever match the ghost of the oh so perfect first Mrs M?
I agree she is barmy and handled things in a less than dignified manner, but trust me dignified has left me with nothing and I am STILL scorned and treated as the evil first wife even though I have only asked to be free of him. He even begrudges the child maintainence and does what he can to avoid paying. I wish I had some of heathers courage to fight him.
What ever your opinion of her maybe any woman in my position would understand to a certain point what levels of frustration push you to and the feeling of lack of self worth just compounds it.
percieved evil ex's are not always as bad as they appear, often we are driven to the brink.
Posted by: Lou | 18 March 2008 at 13:13
I'm sure Paul played his part in the break-up and whilst I am not a big fan of Paul McCartney, I think getting shot of Heather was the best thing he could do. The woman just makes my blood boil everytime she opens her mouth.
Posted by: Sharon | 18 March 2008 at 13:09
Heather is boring and tiredsome, she needs to get herself a job instead of being a gold digger. Knowing Macca's money stats clearly being doing her home work. Fed up of hearing about it and im sure Macca will look after Bea just like his other children!!
Posted by: Fay | 18 March 2008 at 12:55
Oh my god! Everyone will have their own opinions about this case, but who on earth needs £24 mill plus £35k a year to bring up a child? I know that kids are expensive but NOT that expensive. She is very lucky to have been awarded so much money as Paul made all of his money before he met her.
Posted by: Becky | 18 March 2008 at 12:38
She wanted money and now she's got it, (still not enough, by all accounts) poor little, spoilt brat-and chucking water over the lawyer, talk about childish. She is a person who will NEVER be happy with anything. I feel sorry for Bea having a money-grabbing, selfish mother, what will the poor child learn in years to come-no morals I bet!!
Posted by: elle | 18 March 2008 at 11:07
I say well done heather, you deserve everything you get and so does Be,keep up the good work
Posted by: Karen Pratt | 18 March 2008 at 10:34
I'm fed up of people dammimg Heather down. Do you know her? Do you know what goes on behind closed doors? We shouldn't be quick to judge - God will do that. She does tons for charity. Do you? I don't know her. Just because Paul happens to be rich doesn't make her a money grabber! None of us are perfect. Not one single person on this planet. We all say and do thing we regret. Jealousy, that's what it's all about. If that money came your way would you refuse it?? So Heather, if you are reading this, not everyone hates you. Good luck to you and your daughter.
Posted by: Lynne in Berkshire | 18 March 2008 at 10:21
I think Ms Mills should take what she has been awarded and shut her mouth once and for all - if that is possible. The woman craves attention good or bad despite what shes keeps saying - even her own father branded her 'incapable of telling the truth and wouldn't recognise it if it bit her on the arse!'
Posted by: Muddie_63 | 18 March 2008 at 09:41
Someone will write a book and make even more money they should call it
"The Clever Gold Digger and the Silly Old Fool"
Posted by: Kate | 18 March 2008 at 09:31
I quite enjoyed her comment that B will only receive £35k a year...
a) as if £35k a year for a baby isn't enough (ignore that she's Macca's baby - it's A BABY)
and
b) as if Heather was planning to ask her baby daughter to pay her own way after going for lunches and maybe towards house rent.
Also, what more evidence of being a gold digger do you need when you have the woman saying "I cannot believe the judge said he is only worth £400m when we've all known he's been worth £800m for the last 15 years" You especially, Heather, isn't that why you wanted to marry him in the first place?

Posted by: Liza | 17 March 2008 at 21:50
awwww come on guys cut her some slack - the woman deserves her appeal. after all everyone has the right to keep their lives private, even when they're screaming the details outside the high court in front of the worlds media.
we all know the only reason she's doing this is for her daughter, for whom she fought tooth and nail to secure £35,000 a year - she wanted nothing for herself, preferring instead to live the rest of her life off the money she earns by working so hard - the £24.3 million decided by the judge was just a mere bonus.....
here's a thought love, go back to where you were before you married the fella - and if you really were fighting for the money for your kid let her go live with her dad.

She's a tramp! A foul gobby tramp. Go away you horrid troll!!
Posted by: pocketninja | 17 March 2008 at 17:30
She doesn't deserve a penny of it. In fact, how much financial damage have her continual character asassinations done to our Macca. She should owe him money if anything.
Paul, you're a lovely human being who has enriched my life beyond measure.
Forget about her mate. You can do better.
Posted by: eefee | 17 March 2008 at 17:12
From a purely wicked viewpoint, I think that Heather is quite inspirational. She has a questionable history, no outstanding talents, a disability, isn't drop dead gorgeous and she STILL managed to get a world famous pop star with massive wealth to marry her, not to mention her newly acquired mega-bucks divorce deal. The world has far fewer loaded men than it does available women and Paul must have had the pick of loads of gorgeous, willing females over the years. For him to choose Heather offers hope to all average looking, talentless, skint women out there!

As much as I dislike Paul and by the comments I have read I must be the only one, he has used this circus as a massive publicity stunt and 'that woman' has done nothing but destroy the image of marriage. They are both as stupid as each other. Also, if you marry a woman youger than one of your own daughters what on Earth do you expect?

When Heather Mills married Sir Paul, I thought what a gutsy woman she was. I now see her in her true colours: a woman who has fallen out with her husband (for whatever reason, it's irrelevant)and is demanding several million more than she either needs nor deserves. Shame on you, Heather ... and, after your undignfied display of greed, please don't expect to be 'left alone' by the media!
Posted by: L Chapman | 17 March 2008 at 16:13
She doesnt deserve a penny
Posted by: Bee | 17 March 2008 at 16:04
She is a total "nutter". Her only achievement was to run an "unregistered" charity that made no money until she got a large donataion from a kind hearted ex-beatle. Whats the chance of her reverting to her Mills name ?, not very likely is it, with out his name she will always be Mrs Nobody.
Posted by: joe | 17 March 2008 at 16:02
Poor woman, and her daughter such a shame that at £35k a year (not bad for a 4 year old) she has to travel B class. Most of us worry about filling the petrol tank to get to our 37 hour a week jobs and she sits there on £millions. Heather still cant grasp the skill of keeping her mouth shut. Heather your words insult me and im sure many others. Put it like this, there may well be 1 person for each £1 you have in the bank that your words have offended. Lets hear no more. Keep up your charity work and let that be it.

Posted by: marina | 17 March 2008 at 15:56
Unbelieveable. She had a plan right from the start. I doubt very much she loved Paul at all. I can't stand the woman, she's an absolute disgrace and I feel so sorry for the child involved. Fancy having that for a mother.
I hope the money makes her VERY lonely and unhappy, and I wish Paul all the best.

This gold-digger gets women a bad name! what on earth has she ever done to deserve so much money- this woman has no talent (other than for screwing men in more ways than one- for every penny she can get)! I am at a senior level and have worked hard all my life and will not accumulate that kind of money for hard graft... so why should she? but then- what comes around goes around and I hope she gets what is due to her one day! and it is not £24m of someone else's hard earned money!

This woman is a shameless, lying money grabber. Put on an act to catch a millionaire have a baby then divorce him and get his money. Lets hope she moves out of UK and we don't hear of her ever again. I hope she leaves her daughter with Paul as she will have a more stable and loving upbringing.

Hopefully this will now see an end to this pathetic little money grabber, apart from the time when she hands over 80% of her settlement to charity. For which I hope she gets lots of publicity, this time for the right reason.
Someone should keep a check on this lady to ensure that she does what she said she would do and give this proportion to charity. Along with others I would love to hear where its gone and where its going to do a lot of good.
