Suzanne Shaw is celebrity mum of the year

So, the winner of La Redoute’s Celebrity Mother of the Year award – you might remember we asked you who you thought should win a few weeks back – is former Hear’Say singer Suzanne Shaw.
The single mum brought up her son Corey, now three, after splitting from the boy’s father Darren Day and must’ve got a bit of a boost in the public vote by her excellent if not entirely relevant performance in Dancing on Ice at the weekend.
By spooky coincidence, Suzanne’s erstwhile bandmate Kym Ryder was named Tesco Magazine’s Celebrity Mum of the Year just two days ago, making Myleene Klass the only female member of the band not to have won herself a mothering accolade.
That’s not going to make the Hear’Say reunion happen any sooner is it?
What a joke and who really takes any notice of this crap. Im sure she struggles on low money in difficult condition to bring her kids up - does she hell as like. Just another award given by industry to Celebs to ptomotr their products and we Brits think its real - give me a break

Suz Shaw brillant, but what about my mum, an alcoholic son, a daughter with an eating disorder, stood by us for 37 years, now that's a mum.

I must be truthful, i don't like the "Mum Of The Year Award" but i LOVE Suzanne Shaw and i am so glad Suzanne won it, she diserves it! U GO GIRL!!!! (Corey is SO cute!)

At last....it's good to see a "normal" mum win this award.Just goes to show you dont have to be too famous and glam to win all the time.She has been through some tuff situations in the last few years but has pulled through and deserves all the praise she is now getting.Good on ya gal.

katie price should of won ???? err what exactly does she have to deal with ?????? Oh yeah her son had disabilities - so ??? Does that make her a better mum???? Do you seriously think she looks after him single handedly ??? After he was born she was back flashing her tits for a living within 2 wks !!!!
Suzanne was dumped by a total wa nker and left pregnant . She has raised this boy her self. And more to the point she's not continually getting her face in the press trying to gain sympathy .

A fine choice for once someone has got it right!
Don't know much about this young lady probably because she doesn't do drugs, doesn't sleep around and doesn't sell her private life, so the media don't have much to say about her.
Still wondering why Jordan and Heather Mills were nominated though we are no were near April 1st!
