Now, that's not very nice is it? Poor Wayne Rooney is doubtless gurning in fury today after coming top in a poll of the world's worst-looking footie stars.
Over a third of the 2,500 women polled by a fantasy football website felt the Manchester United star was uglier than other allegedly not-so-hot contenders including Peter Crouch, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville.
"The survey shows money can't buy you looks, but money sure does help an ordinary guy get a good-looking girl," comments website spokesman Carl Christensen. Now, now, Carl - beauty's in the eye of the beholder, you know. Besides, we don't think you could ever accuse Wayne and co of being "ordinary"...

There are far worse looking footballers than wayne rooney. i find this disgraceful to hurt someones feelings like this. i personally would be very upset to find myself on this website, hes actually the fittest footballer out there.

He proberly only topped the poll because most know who he was and what he looked like! Its cause hes more famous than the others.
Hope he doesnt take too much notice! Poor lad!

poor old Wayne does look like he's been hammered with the ugly stick, doesn't he.Looks a lot like a cabbage patch doll and they were FREAKY! Who cares though? Nobody is perfect and he's a great footballer....better than Beckham, who's too worried about what he looks like, instead of how he's playing. (A trait no doubt inherited from his wife). YUK!
