Belinda, Belinda, Belinda talks, talks, talks. And sings.

Belinda (C) PA

Since Tuesday, the public have been voting to decide whether Rex or Belinda should be the fifth housemate to be publicly evicted from the Big Brother 9 house.

Belinda received 65% of the total votes cast and left the house to do a little dance and twirl in front of the paps. She loved it.

Belinda described her 14 days in the house as 'incredible' and added she was 'ever positive'. Although she didn't know who had nominated her and seemed quite surprised to learn that neither Rachel nor Darnell had voted to have her kicked out.

Belinda admitted she was nosy and inquisitive. She also acknowledged she had a problem with snoring. (I have to say that even though I found the compilation of Belinda's snoring clips quite funny, I would kill her if I had to share a bedroom with her.)

Whatever you think of Belinda, you have to agree that it's quite refreshing to see someone who's just been evicted and who's not bitchy about anyone in the house, doesn't spit venom and who sings in the studio to keep the audience entertained during the commercial break.

She loves Rex, she misread Rachel, loves Lisa ("fake, but genuine") and wants Dale to win. Why? "He's honourable, doesn't play a game and is clever." Just in case you haven't noticed.

Anyway, she has spent 14 marvellous days in the house, but now Belinda "Jazzy hands" Belinda Belinda is gone.

Still, I'm sure there will be a queue of top West End directors and producers knocking at her door tomorrow morning. It's never too late to turn Sleeping Beauty into a snoring one.

Belinda evicted

Belinda (C) Wenn Call me cynical, but whenever a loud person joins the house and their friends say something like "Oh, yeah, she's going to kick their a**es and smash the house to pieces" (or words to that effect), it's usually an early indication that the housemate in question will be kicked out at the first opportunity.

Particularly when they snore loudly.

Belinda, Belinda, Belinda joined the house only a couple of weeks ago, but tonight the great British public gave her the boot and thus saved the remaining housemates' ear drums.

She sang, she danced, but frankly, the 44-year old theatre director failed to impress.

Upon hearing the result of the public vote, Belinda said "I'm fine. It's good. Positive, positive, positive." Has anyone told her that repeating the same word three times in a row is so, uhm, naff? But at least she was diplomatic: "Well done Rex. You've been great people to know."

Now, before she poses for the paps outside the house in her Union Jack skirt (what is that all about?!), have a look at her best bits (link below) and do tell us what you think of tonight's result. We'll be back with more after her interview with Davina.

Belinda: New arrival number 3

Belinda_pa173 Last but certainly not least of the new arrivals was Belinda, a 44-year-old theatre director. The "bubbly" drama queen with a privileged background lived in East Africa until the age of 11, where she became very good at killing snakes.

Now she lives in Devon with her wealthy husband and two sons. She calls herself radical, intellectual and argumentative. She loves jazz singing and being by the sea and once appeared on stage naked.

She describes herself as 'the voice of the voiceless' claiming to be passionate about marginalised people, especially the homeless.  Which might be useful in the house - then again maybe not.
