BB10 - Launch Night continued
So, Big Brother's in a vicious mood. After announcing that the 16 "housemates" aren't housemates at all and have to pass a series of tasks before they even get to sleep in a bed, the first challenge was always going to be interesting.
It came quicker than expected. Rodrigo, a Brazilian Zac Efron lookalike, gamely volunteered to enter the diary room and perch his bum on the bizarre new patchwork chair to find out what Big Brother had to say for himself.
The poor mite looked in turns baffled, confused and physically sick when he was asked to find a volunteer, plonk them in the barber's chair, shave off their eyebrows and draw a curly moustache and glasses on them with a marker pen.
Within the next four minutes.
Step forward game volunteer Noirin - unexpectedly, it has to be said. Perhaps she thought her pencilled-on eyebrows might save her, but not a bit of it. Big Brother insisted they come all the way off, and the pair of them made it through to a brave new world of sofas, comfortable beds and shopping tasks.
Bizarre stuff - more like a boozy stag weekend in Prague than anything else. What's next? The "chain your naked best mate to a road sign" task?

How can this be a reality tv show anymore when your not aloud to say or do what you want without potentially offending someone. Everyone knows what this is about so if your easily offended DONT WATCH IT as your constant complaining has ruined it........No BB will ever beat the first few years as there are too many restrictions now.

For a change couldn't they put normal, law abiding, employed, sane , caring people in and see what happens?
Its suprising to see what happens to a 'normal' person when put in those types of conditions!!!!
I loved BB 1 after that its just rubbish. See who can crack first!!! How insane and immoral is that???

Personally, I don't believe Big Brother goes far enough, and that's its major problem. Shave your eyebrows?! Far too soft. Make them work for it, give them a blunt cleaver and make them cut their fingers off if they want to stay in the house. Also, a fight to the death for elimination wouldn't go a miss either. Entertaining TV and a way to curb Britain's retard population all rolled into one neat package. Investors please form an orderly queue at my door, i have many other fabulous ideas.

Perfect. Now you have all the weirdos together sterilise them so that they can't breed!

What would be the point of having a blog without having differing opinions? You have no ying without yang. A blog is a blog no matter what it is about and will always attract lovers and haters I however am sat firmly on the fence ;O)

I completely agree with Stacey and Col. Dont like it dont watch, simple. I absolutly love Big Brother, although they've put some weirdo's in this year, and whats with the "housemates from other cultures" theres loads of them im not being racist but theres more foreign people then they are brits, isnt this British Big Brother?? Anyway im not complaining looks like it's going to be another fun-filled year for Big Brother :)

why cant they put normal people in the house, it seems every year the producers go for in your face wierdo's.
whats wrong with normal people aint we interesting?

Ahh, I love how people who hate the show and can't stand watching it take the time out to read an article about it and actually comment on how much they hate it. It's easy - don't watch it, don't read about it...simple. Leave those who are interested to watch it and read about it.
Posted by: Stacey | 05 June 2009 at 11:15
Its quite easy folks, dont like it dont watch it...Its funny though that the people who are slating it are reading about it and then commenting on it..... BB closets I think...

Come on CH4 drop this utter pap and spend the money on something actually worth watching, if I want to watch cretins, inbreds and egotistical lunatics I'll watch Prime Ministers questions from the House of Commons!! I have a suggestion to find a winner- Lock all the doors, seal the windows and back fill the BB house with concrete and seal the gormless cretins in, the world will be a better place without them!

God not another series!! All too predictable - squealing women and blokes who are dressed in outfits that could have come out of a jumble sale. I say it every year but where in the world do they get these muppets from?
First task - great - shave off someone's eyebrows and completely depersonalise them! We are led to believe that this show has psychologists overseeing it but I seriously question their qualifications if they allow this sort of crap to happen. I dread to think what the next set of tasks are - as contestants become increasingly desperate to stay in the house - what will BB have them do next? Amputate a limb / nipple piercing without anaesthetic?

I have never watched BB the hype is unavoidable but the content is just childish, bring back test card far more interesting than pointless TV programmes
