Why, Gerry, why? Why did you have to throw yourself on your sword like that, nobly asking the gurus to kick you out so that Carole could stay in the house?
You've sacrificed yourself for nothing, Gerry. Carole is never going to win. Nobody likes her any more - that's why she got a whopping 49% of the public vote. We wanted her out - and Gerry, your attempt to rally the crowd in her favour by reminding us that she's skint fell on deaf ears. She could always try getting a job - she'd make a great dinner lady. If my old school was anything to go by, she's got all the pre-requisites: a knack for making any food look (and taste) completely inedible, and a surly expression as she dishes it out. And, of course, power mania.
I suspect the real reason Gerry sacrificed himself was because he'd worked himself up into a state of paranoia in the last few weeks, convincing himself he was massively unpopular in the outside world. Asking the gurus to kick him out, instead of getting voted out, was a way of leaving with his dignity intact.
But actually, he was one of the more popular characters in the house - and his face when he realised that the vast majority of people were cheering for him as he left was an absolute picture. He looked so happy, bless him. It's so important to Gerry to be loved.
Anyway, my Grandma is gutted as she had a fiver on Gerry to win. I'm sorry he's gone, too - I reckon he had a good shot of making it into the final four, at least. And now we're stuck with Carole for another couple of weeks. Cheers, Gerry!
Even though i dont really like Gerry !!!!! I like him more than Carole Why did he do that he is annoyin but Carole is more owwwwww my cookin is burnin :-S Shut up

I feel so sorry for Gerry who was one of the most genuine..(expressed his fear of being rejected and appear boring to others) and loyal housemate (always stuck by Chanelle, the twins and Ziggy the vampire!)and the most forgiving it looks like, did not know people wanted Carole out more than him and he sacrifice his chances..real shame

Gerry what where you thinking? The publice love you! We've now got to put up with Carole for ages with her moaning, bossing and cleaning again! Gerry you had a good shot at getting in the final four and wasted it all on someone who didn't deserve it. You should have stayed!

I am glad Gerry is out of the house for his own sake to escape the bad atmosphere and get away from Ziggy, Carol and awful Tracy. I did not like watching the way they spoke and treated him and hope he enjoys his week before the next housemate(s) are out. The down side is that we are stuck watching the vile Carol but she will not win and hopefully go back to her house and tidy up all her junk. For someone who gives the impression she likes to recycle she should practice what she preaches.

carole did her usual routine of turning on the tears as a defence. then all her little pets go "carole does so much for us, i hate to see her upset" and so they were never going to pick her...
if carole doesn't like you in that house, basically you are out. the ones she does like are gradually manipulated into nominating whoever dares to stand up to carole, as if it is only their fault that there is a bad atmosphere in the house.
but little do they realise that she will only move onto the next one - laura, nicky, chanelle, amy, gerry - and things will stay as awkward and uncomfortable as ever as long as she remains.

thanx a bunch gerry, weve got to suffer carole some more now.
i just tuned in and carole was still interfering in the kitchen, despite BB's constant punishments. throw her out BB. she will never bow down to authority. its her way or no way.
