Shabnam's outta there!

Well you’re not really surprised are you? As many a punter predicted it was Shabnam who got the boot with a hefty 81.4% of the votes.
Davina pointed out it really is “the biggest Big Brother insult” to be the first evicted but Shabs did seem to take it in her stride. “I knew it,” she told housemates when her name was called.
Shabs then proceeded to make the most longwinded exit from the house I have ever seen by coming and going from the door and yelling at her housemates not to forget her. Actually, that's the whole point of being voted out first - so everyone can forget you.
What also made me laugh as she left were Charley’s crocodile tears. They were at each other’s throats yesterday and now we’re expected to believe she’s gutted to see her go? I think it was really because she heard the usual “get Charley out” chants from the baying crowd.
As Shabnam made her way up the stairs she was praying she wasn’t going to get booed but when you’re the first to be evicted can you really expect applause? But no sneers and jeers were going to stop fame-hungry Shabs milking her moment in the limelight. As soon as the doors opened she was dancing away shouting “Shammo” and generally giving the crowd even more reason to dislike her. I’m surprised she didn’t get pelted with vegetables. In the end it was up to Davina to put us out of our misery and drag her off for her post-eviction interview.
From her light-hearted questioning, it definitely seemed like Davina is a Shabs fan - I’m actually surprised she managed to get a word in, given Shabnam never seemed to stop talking in the house.
So what insights did Shabnam reveal? Well I got the point she had a “blast” in the house given she said it a dozen times. She also revealed her purpose for going in was not fame (as we cynics thought) but because she wants to “energise people” – but of course, she wouldn’t say no to a magazine deal or two.
Quizzed on the subject of Charley she admitted they did get on but argued under the pressure of being in the house and having to make nominations (even though neither of them has actually had to nominate in the past fortnight). She thinks Chanelle and Ziggy’s love is “for real” – they are the Posh and Becks of the house – and she wants the twins or “good-hearted” Carole to win.
And why did she think she was nominated this week? It’s because she “got on people’s nerves - in a good way”, which certainly made Davina laugh.
I can't decide if I'm glad Shabnam has left... she was annoying but the house is going to be a lot quieter without her.
So now it’s one down, 15 to go! I wonder who is going to be evicted next...

I really liked Shabams!! . she was really swnd! and nice 2 talk to, and up frount.. She was always positive and never put her self or any1 dwn .. i wud of def got on with her in the house!! Get her Back IN!!!!

i knew she werent gonna stay, was inevitable.
she shouldve tho. Although a bit loopy, she seemed positive & showed it in the interview. even when she was booed she didnt let it phase her (even tho it was agonising to watch!)but i dunno why the public disliked her really, with some of them otha people in there.
theres gonna be a dramatic change in the house now. certainly looking different from the launch night.

I wanted to gouge my eyes out and stuff them in my ears so I couldn't see or hear her when she came out, BB should have given a "Housemates close the door" warning.
As for the new guys, I can sum it up in three letters, Meh. Where are the normals this year? OK so Anthony (BB6) wasn't normal and Pete and Glyn (BB7) were odd but a house full of odd people means there is no one to root for, at the moment I want them all to lose.
And will they do the same as last week for the nominations, having the four guys pick four extra to nominate or will it be a simple case of they cannot nominate or be nominated?
