Lesley walks!
By Jane Murphy
Just when we thought this week couldn't get any more exciting... Lesley walked out at 9.15 this morning, claiming to be bored. Bored? With so many vibrant, interesting conversations about make-up going on at once? What's the matter with the woman?
Tsk - ever wished you'd turned off your computer and run away just a little bit sooner? I was just about to log off and take a Saturday afternoon stroll round Penge, and - who knows? - maybe mix it up a little with a quick foray into Crystal Palace, when the news broke. Big Brother's Mother Superior has left the building, pleading extreme boredom.
Apparently, Lesley feels 10 days is a good innings - and although she hasn't made any friends, she has "formed slight bonds" and her housemates have been "lovely and gracious". But how will they react to her departure? I think the twins will take it hardest - while my current favourite, Carole, could be out on a limb as she's around 20 years older than everyone else in the house.
As for Lesley, she's walked just in time to sell her story to one of tomorrow's Sunday papers - presumably the one that didn't manage to bag Emily. My money's on The Mail on Sunday. Oh well, on with the show...

I think Lesley done really well for an older woman, it would have been interesting to see her develop over the 13 weeks - its a shame shes gone - BRING HER BACK - oh, and i agree with lisa. Get a job Paul.

there must be more exciting people in interviews for big brother than being stuck with lesley ,i am not surprised she went ,when she first came she was very snooty ,and bossy and i think the housemates weren.t intelluctual enough for her ,good riddance,

Given her background why did the Big Brother producers choose Lesley. I am 67 and in the WI. I feared for Lesley's sanity amongst those girls. No doubt this had begun to concern her!It was interesting and understandablethat she seemed to get on well with Ziggy

Lesley was the best and most interesting person in the house and its a shame she went so soon. Charlie spoke to her like dirt! Long live Lesley and I hope you get over this spate of clap trap make up pasting bimbo wanabees with nothing to offer but loads of washing!!!
At least she was up in time for breakfast. Now we have two gays(?) who will so far up their own backsides before each other does!!! Pity poor Ziggy as the only alpha male.

I'll miss Lesley. She made me laugh with her long suffering and wry comments. She was only ever herself and had there been more interesting housemates for her to interract with I think she would have been great to watch.

Damned shame, I thought Lesley was marvelous. Such a wry sense of humour -pity most of the other house mates weren't intelligent enough to understand her back handed compliments.
I'll miss you love, if no one else. xx
Now wouldn't be interesting to see one ONE of the twins to go next......................

About time she left, she gave nothing to the house, what an awful women who must have been the worst boss in the world, I'd love to hear what her former staff say about her. She was a rude bully, my only regret is that nobody stood up to her.

Someone else could have been in that house, i really dont think it was fair what she did, and blaming it on the fact she was bored!!

What a waste of a BB spot. Good riddance to the condescending cow

For the Money? ha! she's living off the proceeds from selling a successful business, she has homes in spai and england, she sold Kate Winslett her house in Cornwall, dont thnik she did it for the money? unlike CHARLEY, she is probably at a time in her life when she still wants to do impulsive thing, I liked her who says you have to be 19 yrs old acting 12 years old spiteful bitchy conceited and up yourself to get anything from the experience?

Talk about a fish out of water!! what on earth did she go in there for(money perhaps!!)what a no no she was.
Posted by: tonyw | 09 June 2007 at 16:50
Strange... I thought she was just beginning to settle down.
Maybe she wanted to exit at a point such as this, when she appears to have comparitively nothing to complain about, however -- so she looks less desperate. Leaving before, it might have looked like she just left because she couldn't make friends and didn't fit in. Now it makes a point: 'I leave because BIG BROTHER'S boring: not me'.
Oh well, arrivederci Leslie. We'll be seeing you in Heat, yeah? -- Or not.
