What's in a name?

A newspaper – well known for its forays into the shady world of gossip and rumour, we might add – claims to have laid its hands on “a top secret list” naming the new Big Brother housemates.
Exciting, eh? Er, yeah, except it doesn’t actually tell us very much at all. Or does it? In the spirit of pre-BB idle speculation and, like every other Tom, Dick and Bubble sitting in a pub bantering aimlessly, it’s time to engage in some highly dubious analysis.
Amanda Gilbert-West sounds, inevitably, like she’ll be a posho who’ll spend the time banging on how much she respects David Cameron; Gwen Harrison like a flute-playing hippy with a grudge; and Charles Brady, a creepy loner who’ll sneak out at night and wee in the swimming pool. And then there’s Shelton Peckham, who will either be brilliant or will ape BB7’s Spiral, i.e. hanker after wackiness like a whining puppy.
Next, it’s Talia Brown – undoubtedly this year’s Grace. I can hear Marcus Birdman’s booming Geordie tones already: “Talia is in the pool, talking about Gwen. Talia is in the diary room, complaining about Mark. Talia has been thrown in the pool by an angry mob.”
There are two Wills on the list, possibly dashing any hopes yours truly had of getting into the house, – unless I follow BB tradition and change my name to Willo or Willers. Of the duo on the list, Will Rogers sounds much more exciting than uptight Will Dixon. In fact, he sounds like some kind of superhero. He’ll probably win.

First of all, why if it's soo insufferably boring do posts like this attract your feedback! I'm a natural psychologist; naturally this show thus very much makes my year when it comes on and plus, gives me on top of everything something to watch around my AS Levels.
If you don't watch it, fine: if you subsequently complain you are palpably fuddy- duddy material; and shouldn't complain about the most popular reality TV show, but instead maybe adjourn to the documentary channels and force some semblance of a smile..
I hope they hit it on the nail again this year, like they did with Antony's Big Brother (i.e. when this guy won it). Hopefully the contrast won't be too strong between the pretty, hot and 'normal' people on the show this year; and the not- so- normals. This quite spoilt it for me last year, as those who thought they 'were' normal by comparison acted the cool kids of the playground when it couldn't have been more obvious to us that they were sooore losers (Sezar got a whopping percentage of eviction votes)..
Lets hope there's another Glen, Craig, Antony and Pete..

Omg, i so cnt wait till bb to night ! it gonna b so funny. But i'm really afaird there are going to be the same people, like a walking Barbie, The Cow who argues with everyone and the " Hot " Ken ! and the mad loony who will end up winning!! Bb is getting old now But i just hope it will be different x

I am really looking forward to what bb has to offer this year. Cant wait to see if any love comes out off it. It should be quite fun to watch this year with a vicar coming in the house. Big Bro is great entertainment and good to watch. Cant wait till tonight.

here here Dave Wick, BB is without a doubt chav material, just look at the writings of those above who watch it, is that not chav evidence? they have developed a chav language that no english person can understand.
I wouldn't be supprised if the next spin off reality show of big brother was option 1. A reality show of those camera men behind the BB mirrors. Chavs don't get excited just yet.
Option 2. A reality show of chavs watching BB.

I cannot wait till 9pm tonight. I hope theres not too may weirdo's in there, just one or two and there needs to be at least one b**** in there (i.e. another Grace) to stir things up. God last years lot were the best, i loved Nikki and Richard, they were my fav.

BB is for Chavs and the main stream culture of the typical brit as its now become in this country... its so obviously BB is just an over commercialised brand that will not lie down and dye.(unfortunately) The race row im sure made good TV ratings and publicity that BB infact liked. I saw it as a mindless argument which went too far with a bunch of english girls ganging up (not nice). And the most annoying thing about BB is that its over sensored and the sound is cut far too often, well such is the world we live in where people like to su for any reason or financial gain. Everyone on your show is a wanabe- with most of them talentless. Sad. I wont be watching anymore..its just too old and please try and move on and come up with a new TV programme (why not a reality show, such as a boring day in the boring life of the average Brit?, that would be interesting I think, see what Really happens in day to day life here in UK) Without Celebs!! afterall they are the same as most of us, we just dont have the title.
